Honest review of VIIT Pune

  • College has small play ground. Difficult to play games.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have always been interested in the automobile sector so that's why I chose this course. In the mechanical department, there are something around 25 faculties and 240 students. The faculties are well qualified some are PHD and the remaining faculties are MTech from reputed colleges. they are well-experienced and very well at teaching. Per semester there are two exams one is in the semester and the second is end semester. The exam difficulty level is easy to moderate level.

Internships Opportunities :

Companies like ADM group, ARAI, GEA, and Walchandnagar Industries offer internships having stipends of about seven to fifteen thousand. College will mainly be industry projects in the final year where we get very good industry exposure.

Placement Experience :

From the seventh semester students are eligible for placements. companies like Kirloskar, Atlas Copco, TATA Technologies, and Siemens Energy are coming for campus placements. college has the highest package of 13 lakhs offered by Ansys and an average package of 4.5 LPA. 80 to 90 percent of students get placed in their final year. I am still preparing for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid :

We have to pay fees in one installment. The college has fees of 167000 for open category students and other reserved candidates like EBC, EWS, and OBC have fees of 104000. There is the scholarship of Maharashtra gov we have applied for that.

Campus Life :

Gandgharva is an annual fest organized in Feb which is a seven-day long event. The library has all academic and competitive exam books. The classroom has projectors, benches, fans, and WIFI. Sports activities are taken in the college campus like indoor and outdoor games. There are social groups like NSS, CEC, etc, and clubs like MESA, Vishwaracers, Baja EDC VIIT, etc.

Admission :

For taking admission we have to appear for MHT CET and after getting a good percentile we get admission into this course. Application for the MHT CET exam started after 12 the exam and we have to apply for that. Reservation benefits are there for taking admission and in fees. The admission process is good enough.
