Course Curriculum Overview :

New advancement to the medical and technological world as it improves the interesting depth of microbes' creation, their metabolic and enzyme activity, and their useful benefits to the environment. Faculty and Student relationships paved the way for more research and a good understanding of the subjects and the projects. Ph.D. qualified staff enroll with good basic and advanced knowledge about the subject. The average student ratio per class varies from 40 to 50 students. Each and every month they conducted internal exams, oral exams, and Lab Tests and it was really easy and flexible to complete the exams.

Class Size : 47Course Fees : INR 18000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Compared to other colleges here the fee structure for BSc Microbiology is just 18k per year. Apart from that includes the examination paper fee of 300 per paper. The scholarship is available for students who apply for them. First-graduate student also gets Scholarship in fees during the Course period. Research students join Junior Fellowship and Senior Fellowship for Projects with Stipend.

Campus Life :

Here they conduct various types of Cultural Programs Science Exhibitions and Annual Fest in each and every department. Astronomy Club, SAMFICA, Amplicons Association etc. Library consists of 1500 Reference books, Back Volumes - 1400, CDs/DVDs - 3000 Classroom Consists of a Fire Extinguisher, First Aid box, and Notice Board. Availability of Tennis Court, Football Ground, Cricket Pitch. There is also a Multigym. Anti-ragging Committee, Student Welfare Committee, Uruguay Club, The Socrates Society, The Einstein Hub.

Admission :

The Candidate must have qualified 12th at least with 60% from a recognized board. One must have studied Physics/Chemistry and Biology - (Botany or Zoology) as a compulsory subject in 12th. The application form, fee structure, and application date are available on the college's official website department-wise. Reservation of seats is done with advance payment according to the course fee structure.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus framed is based on outcome based learning. There is also different levels in learning that makes students to engage in learning the concept more deeper and clear with their concepts. The syllabus not only includes core subjects but also allied and elective papers. Papers like enterpreunership, women studies and so on are included exclusively. Students are advised to complete online courses, and some extra courses. Faculties are well versed and the classes for immunology and biotechnology are taught excellently. During practical classes staff teach the students in batches so no one is left. Experiments are repeated for students excellence in their practical classes. Additionally students are offered animation course for science content development videos, which makes student to opt jobs related to non-core. The placements are good. PSGR krishnammal is the best choice for Zoology in Tamil Nadu.

Because chemistry is a good course it had a bright future. The student ratio is 40 in each department. We had only two faculties so teaching is not enough. Yes, exams are very difficult for students because we had fewer teachers so it would be difficult to pass.

Admission:

I got admission in this college based on my marks in 12th standard. I am studying Bachelor of Science in Zoology. Merit list is prepared based on our marks scored in 12th. This is good college in our place and it is women's college which is also suitable for me. Candidate must have studied physics, chemistry and biology in 12th standard for admission in this course.

Placement Experience:

There are many companies which recruits students from our college from various branch. Few of them are Wipro, Sutherland, global services, IBM, TCS, Transworks, wase, KGiSL, etc. Job opportunities for Bsc Zoology students is less. Internship opportunities are not provided by college but help us to find.

My review

Remarks:

Positive - The Library. It is dumped with more than 82k books. With digital library and fantastic reference section. Play ground, gym etc well equipped and nicely maintained. Nice wifi connectivity. Canteen with nominal rate any one could afford. Entrepreneur we have TBI for young Entrepreneurs fully functioning. Negative - Staff have to update or read books before they come to class. Syllabus should match the industrial needs. Labs should be well equipped.
