Course Curriculum Overview :
The course I opted for is Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech). I was interested in the field of technology and my seniors and some relatives have passed out and I got positive reviews from them. The faculty and student ratio is perfect and the faculty knows how much to teach and how to transfer their knowledge to the students for their betterment. Most faculty members are M.Tech or P.hd. Exams are held on a monthly basis which is a great way of keeping track of performance and the exams are of moderate level strictly according to the syllabus.
Internships Opportunities :
Students are according to me ready for an internship during the 4th sem or the start of the 3rd year. Here the college plays a less significant role but here comes the role of seniors and the students themselves to grow according to the latest technology outside and apply for internships and learn about new things applied in real life and build projects on the topics they like which will work as a hoon for them in getting placed.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible in the 3rd year(5th sem) for the placement. Several companies visit the college for placements and as the college got the highest MAAC grading (A++) in AKTU, it proved to be a great point of attraction for the companies to visit the campus and to see the potential of the students in the college. The highest package (on campus) was about 38lpa and off campus was of 1crore in Amazon (outside India). The placement is good on campus and the seniors are really helpful if you are ready to work but due to high competition you have to work very hard to get a good job which may vary from person to person.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The course fee according to me is optimum as compared to other colleges at aktu University which are private. It's neither very high nor too low and the ROI (most important to consider) is fine if a student is average and is ready to work according to the company norms. There are options for scholarships for underprivileged students that can be applied in the college. I'm a second-year student and the internship opportunities start coming in 3rd year but the idea of having an internship is promoted and the seniors are getting internships which is around 15K to 25K a month which is great for starting and gaining experience.
Campus Life :
Here at AKGEC life is good, not great as there are not many fests or events held, it mainly focuses on the academic performances of the students and that's why it focuses more on studies and exams and is a bit strict on it The attendance policy is 75% which has to be maintained but in recent times things have changed and events are organised in the college. The library is majestic with an average wifi connection. The college has a lot of open space where you can hang out with your friends and the connectivity is also good.
Admission :
The admission process was held through online counseling on the percentile and rank of JEE MAINS. The counseling went smoothly, the only issue was that it was very late as per the dates given by AKTU. The Akgec portal is updated when the admission process starts and students can reach the college to enquire about the process and to register themselves for the seats available in the college.
