Remarks :
Overall there can be some flaws in our college but it will be worth to spend your four years to gain knowledge.
Entrance Preview :
I joined through my diploma marks. No entrance exam required.I done my diploma in Mechatronics so I had to look for engineering degree in Mechatronics.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course structure is framed by the Anna university for all the colleges under the university. Each semester we must complete 6 theory subjects and three labs. It may differ in the final semester. In our college electives are chosen by the management not by the students because of allocating faculty for different electives .they will select one common elective for all the students
Internships Opportunities :
Yes college provide internship for third year and final year students. Internships are generally provided only in developed companies .Average stipend will be around 4k per month.
Placement Experience :
Placements are improving a lot in our college but as of now minimum of students are only getting placed in reputed companies.some of the companies for placements are Rane Wabco Tcs and many other companies. The average package per annum will be around 3 lakhs.
College Events :
Takshashila is the cultural event conducted in our college every year .many dance, music, comedy performance will be done on that 3 days. And many other traditional festivals will be celebrated on Pongal, ugadi and other festivals. Hostel day is also celebrated every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fees structure varies upon the quota in which you got admission.For government quota fees is very feasible. For management quota it will be little bit expensive.. Around 80k per year for government quota including transport. For management quota it will be around 1.5lakhs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Our college offers 100% tuition fees for students who got above 190 cutoff in their plus two examinations.
Campus Life :
Workshops are conducted in our college very frequently for mechanical students. They show zero tolerance against gender teasing. Race and religion status will not be a problem nowadays. Many cultural societies are there like SAE for improvement of knowledge for students.
Hostel Facilities :
Being a day scholar I don't know much about the hostel facilities. I heard that hostel facilities are average. There is water problem in hostel. Mess food is poor and need lots of improvement. Hostel rooms are generally shared by 5 students Which will make their morning bathing a tough job.
Alumni/Alumna :
Seniors are always helpful to us for many situations.we did our department symposium with seniors. For department cricket match we mingled with seniors.
Exam Structure :
Exams and labs are very frequent but It will not be a big problem for students. Labs are conducted just for formality and no serious attention is given to lab exams.But theories are followed with great care. Practice in labs can be done after the college hours if u have special interst in that lab.
Admission :
I applied for Anna university counselling for diploma students. Counselling was conducted in alagappa university in karaikudi.I went there for counseling and got seat in Chennai institute of technology in government Quota. After showing the allotment order in college they asked us to complete other admission formalities .
Faculty :
Generally in our college all the faculties are highly qualified and they show great intent to teach.They will take special care for slow learners. Their incentives will be based on result percentage. Lab standards need to improve a lot. Labs are conducted just for formality and no serious attention is given to lab exams.
