Course Curriculum Overview :
Some say that the mechanical engineering program at Vishwakarma Institute of Information Technology (VIIT) in Pune is good. The faculty members are well-qualified, helpful, and cooperative. The program teaches students how to provide technological solutions. Graduates also learn managerial, financial, and ethical practices.
Internships Opportunities :
Companies like Nvidia, IBM, Blackrock, TCS, Accenture, FinIQ, and many more in hundreds visited the college this year also. They offer roles like SDE or GET or as interns as well. The stipend is nearly 10,000 but high for good companies. We get industry projects from teachers which are funded by industry and if you do it well, you also can get a job there.
Placement Experience :
Placement starts from the 7th semester onwards. You can see hundreds of companies visiting colleges for placements. Last year approximately 90% of students got placed. The highest package this year is 33 lpa by Ansys, average is between 5.5-6.5 lpa. Companies like TCS, Infosys, IBM, Deutsche Bank, and many more visit campus every year. I will pursue higher education after my degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The Fee structure differs according to your category. It is 176000 for open, 105000 for obc, and 5000 for SC, ST. You also can get a mahadbt scholarship. However, there is no financial assistance. Cummins and Cybage scholarship is also available.
Campus Life :
The College has more than 12 clubs for student development. Also college has many tech fests and hackathons, and Gandharva is the main annual fest. The library in college is very well maintained and easy to use and we have a digital library as well. Classrooms are big, and spacious and have projectors and Wi-Fi access. The sports ground is small but sports activities are arranged frequently like inter-branch, inter-college competitions, etc. We have lots of clubs like EDC, TEDX, etc. as well.
Admission :
Maharashtra candidates need to appear for MHT-CET and all India candidates are required to sit for the JEE Main. Next Merit list for JEE Main and MHT CET is released. Candidates then need to register and participate in CAP conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.
