- Delhi University is not technolgically advanced when it comes to its administartive procedures.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because of the faculty. They are highly qualified and have great research work credentials. The faculty is optimal for the number of students who were there for the psychology course (Master's). You have assignments and unit tests once a semester and also a semester-end examination.
Placement Experience :
After you have completed then only you are eligible for campus placements. The highest package was 50,000 per month. But the placement options are not that huge as there was no flood of recruiters, but whoever came they were of good quality.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are extremely nominal when it comes to studying at Delhi University. I had to pay just 2500 rupees yearly. That is my whole course for Masters in Psychology was completed in 4,000. Whears the University provides the best educational resources, it has a vast library, and also you have access to the latest research journals via the University Delhi student portal.
Campus Life :
University of Delhi campus life is a life experience. You have access to the best fests, not just in your college or department, but you can go to any fest or seminar if you have a student ID. I have attended seminars in relation to economics in SRCC even though I am a psychology student. Th library is one of the best and you have access to the latest journals. The amenities in the classroom do require the latest technological updates but they are okay.
Admission :
To get admission to Masters in Psychology at Delhi University, you have to at least have a graduation degree, it's not compulsory to have in degree in psychology, if you have graduated from any other subject you can opt for this course. The selection procedure is done via two means, first is via the Merit basis, under this the University will release cutoffs which are basically based on the final marks that you get in your graduation. Second is via the all-India entrance exam, in which the aspiring students are assessed on the subject of psychology. The application form is found on the University of Delhi's official website, and the fee for the same is 300- 500 INR. The application dates are also released on the website. The admission process is mainly done virtually but certain hardcopy of documents also have to be submitted personally to the University itself. This does create a little bit of hassle, this should be streamlined for efficiency.
