Remarks :
The timings are usually 9 AM to 5 PM with free hours in between, teaching is good and mostly by experienced faculties. SASTRA is very friendly.
Entrance Preview :
Candidate will be selected on the basis of intermediate exam marks or JEE MAIN exam score. No separate entrance exam is there.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Excellent. Since SASTRA is an autonomous body, they doesn't take up the age old conventional sylabbis and instead came up with trending topics for curriculum. Topics like robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and cloud were all taken up purely based on market trends and that has paid rich dividends to all the students
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, Sastra provides internship,you have good percentage in your B.tech .Basically in my period 2010-2014 first 10% percentage students they have given 14 thousand and next 10-20% students they have given 7 thousand.
Placement Experience :
Mostly IT companies come for the recruitment , but there are also some good Core companies that come for the recruitment process...The average salary package will be 4.5 Lakhs/ annum..The highest salary would be 12 lakhs/ annum...
College Events :
All sort of events will be organised by students itself cultural-kuruksastras, ports-colloseumsymposium-daksh, etc also in between they will organise many useful conferences in their respective departments but mostly B.Tech students only organise.Despite this curriculum, you could have fun in Sastra with three events- 1. Dakhs- a technical event where you could show your talent and win exciting cash awards. 2. Kuruksastra- a cultural event where you have a lot of fun by participating in extracurricular activities with other colleges' teams. 3. Colosseum- a sports event where you meet teams from other colleges and show your talent
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is in accordance with government fee structure it is affordable 35000 semester fee without including the hostel and mess bill the mess bill would be 2000 per months and the hostel bill would be 6000 per year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Now a days all banks are giving education loans so u will also get loan if u want SASTRA also support for your loans many scholarships also availble that thing you know automatically once u joind in college
Campus Life :
Yes college encourages extracurriculars very actively.The University has many social clubs like NSS, NCC, EXNORA, SCORE, Share your hands.
Hostel Facilities :
There are 6 hostels for boys with a maximum rent of INR 8000 per year, it'll cost around INR 50 per meal tastes are equally good as standard Hotels, overall College has a very good infrastructure.food is good.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni network and senior students are very helpful .Don't worry about the senior students, Sastra has a strict Non -ragging act.
Exam Structure :
The exams are mostly conducted every two months that is there are three mid terms and students need to write only two of them there will be a final end of semester exams.
Faculty :
Superb faculty members with lots of practical knowledge and improved skills. They are very polite to the students. The teaching is unique as per the management instructions. Some faculty members give us projects which can be useful for placement. The course curriculum is good compared to other universities.
