- The college is very strict. Although its a good thing in many ways, sometimes the strictness becomes very frustrating.
- The online attendance portal doesnt work properly and no action is taken to fix it. And the network availability inside classrooms is very bad.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am interested in pursuing MBA in the future and BBA seemed a good place to start. There are plenty of faculties available and they are good at teaching. The majority of faculties have a good method of teaching. The time between two semesters was a bit less resulting in more pressure. However, the exams were relatively easy and the marks I got were also good.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are available yes but not every students get them. I got an internship in Bajaj Finance. However, my friend also applied at the same time got no calls for internships. The students are selected randomly which is not very fair.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible to sit for placements from 3rd year. Companies like British Telecom mostly hired students last year. Other companies like Accenture, and Amazon also offer placements. It is also possible for students to get pre-placement offers from the companies they are doing their internships. Although this completely depends on the student's merit and performance. Almost 80% of students the interviews. After getting the degree I want to do a job for 1-2 years and then do my MBA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The course has a fee of Rs 55,000 per semester and there are 6 semesters. So the total fee is Rs 3,30,000. Scholarships are available. A friend of mine applied for a scholarship in 1st year and she got it however the next day only she was notified that the scholarship got cancelled due to some reason. Again next year she applied and thankfully got the scholarship for the last 2 semesters. Placements and internships are available. I am currently in 2nd year and have gotten an internship in Bajaj Finance. However, the stipend is not yet known to me.
Campus Life :
Many fests are conducted in the college to increase student extracurricular activities. Books are given from the library before every semester. The classrooms have AC and are generally clean unless some students litter the place. The network is very bad in the class and it becomes very difficult for the students to access the online portal from class. Sports activities like Basketball, cricket and football are organised every year. And a few clubs like Finance Club are also there, run by the students.
Admission :
Sitting for the Common Entrance Test (CET) was mandatory and selecting IEM was necessary. First I was told that I have to get a rank within 700 to get admission. However, it was later made clear that, that no rank is needed. We only have to give an advance of Rs 70,000 and that confirms our admission. The college website has all the information needed and the admission cell is also helpful.
Other Applied Colleges
The Bhawanipur Education Society College - [BESC] | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA] {Hons.}
I was not selected for BBA. Instead they gave me the allotment of B.COM but as my preference was BBA, i didnt opt for this college.
