Remarks :

College management was good overall. I feel placement cell should be stronger as the college needs to justify the fees charged by them Overall, it was a great experience .

Entrance Preview :

CAT 75 PERCENTILE Recommended by my CAT institute faculty , Spoke to my degree college seniors who were studying at IBS- Got good reviews about the college Searched for its ranking in various magazines and inquired with other students at CAT institute

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum was good for most of the subjects. Very interesting case studies were used to teach us - which in turn also increased our knowledge on various industry related problems and how they are solved. Second semester tests your hard working skills and patience as it has maximum subjects covering different areas . However, for few subjects case studies was not the medium which made it dull and boring Books recommended were really good and had detailed information

Internships Opportunities :

No, my college did not help me in providing any internship The companies which offered internship were not that great. Stipend offered was very less . Not many of my batch mates were really happy with the kind of internship provided

Placement Experience :

Placements and Job opportunities were not that great. The problem is that there are too many students (1200) in an year's batch and it becomes a big task for college placement cell to ensure all students leave the campus with good jobs. At the same time, there are many good companies visiting the campus in the initial stage of placements . to be qualified for these companies one needs to have a strong academic record. Also, many companies then take an aptitude test followed by GD and PI

College Events :

There were many events celebrated at that's the best part of studying at IBS 1) fresher program - 3 days long 2) Annual day 3) cultural events 4) festivals like diwali and holi 5) food fest with DJ nights 6) Send off to seniors 7) Different groups had mini programs within themselves 8) inter college sports festival

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is very expensive For me I see it vis-a-vis placement i received . I feel for the packages offered the fee structure is extremely high. It is in par with fee structure of IIM-A. My fees was 10 lac for education plus 2 lac for stay and food I believe the current fee structure is 15 lac+

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There were many banks which had there counters at the time of fee payment. I don't remember them offering anything special for IBS students . It was the normal industry rates . There are no scholarships offered before or during the scored , no matter what, In my case, i did not avail for any loan facility hence,

Campus Life :

Campus life - Was really good. It entirely depends on how extrovert you are. There are many clubs you can be a part of which has mix of seniors and juniors, Gender ratio- 50:50 Diversity- Students come from PAN India and that is the reason each and every festival is celebrated . There was hardly any student from outside India

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels: 1 room for 1 person and that is the best about the stay there. However, the washrooms are shared . Rooms are very close to one another. They intentionally allocated rooms alternatively to senior and junior which helps us gel with our seniors Mess food is good however there is a fix menu for each day and each meal which becomes boring after 6-7 months. There is a variety of food items at a particular time. There is also a canteen where one can pay and eat and at a very normal cost

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network is very weak. There is no cell or committee at college which takes care of alumni. Also, to get in touch with seniors who have passed out is very difficult , There is no database shared with juniors for any help. There is one event organized every year (somewhere in November) for alumni but no invitation is sent by college to alumni

Exam Structure :

Exam structure was very strict. No undue advantage was given for anyone for any reason. When it comes to semester exams and internal tests the environment was strict and it was ensured that no cheating was done. Almost similar to giving a board exam

Admission :

I had appeared for CAT exam Basis that i had received an interview call from the college Interview was held at IBS campus in Hyderabad First round was GDPI in which groups were randomly distributed Second was PI round which was taken by to faculties of different streams My academics was also given an important weight for selection The result of the entire process was communicated through mail

Faculty :

Faculties were all well qualified. However, some had a very interesting approach to teach while others were dull and failed to share with us the practical knowledge of outside world . Learning the practical was very important specially for students like me who do not have any industry experience. Faculties were always there to solve our doubts and help us in completing our projects

Placement Experience:

I am still pursuing my MBA but I have seen HR placing with 16.5 LPA which is not a core competency of this college. All the big 4's come for placements. I think I saw a minimum package that went 6 LPA and the highest around 50 LPA. It entirely depends on the student how he/she will be placed.

Admission:

Admission is on the basis of TSI - CET entrance test which is a state level entrance test. A merit list is released on the basis of the test scores. Students making it to the list are invited for the counselling process.

Placement Experience:

Placements are pretty ordinary, but the college is trying to improve the corporate connections and the placements. They does have a placement cell, whose role is to create job opportunities for the students.

Remarks:

It was overall good. However it is very good for freshers although not for experienced ppl. I think they should try and get in some other good mba college. This college gives very good exposure for the freshers, grooms and helps to excel.
