Course Curriculum Overview :
As mentioned, I found this course very different than any traditional courses available at that time. I found it interesting, the ROI is great. I got all the money I put in a year or so. The faculty: student ratio was 10:40. I can say we had the best of teachers and faculty. We had semester exams regularly and believe me it was not way. We had to work hard like really hard.
Internships Opportunities :
Torrent Pharma 2500 Rs per month. The projects during the internship were great learning and helped us to learn on the job and be a permanent employees in the company. The team and managers along with HOD were great support and give us proper guidance.
Placement Experience :
After the third semester: Hindustan Lever, Torrent Pharma, Loreal, Colgate, the package was around 3 lakhs per annum in the year 2007. The highest would be 5 lpa and the average was 3 LPA. Most of the students would get it, but few remained, and later on, they got it as well. I was on internships and got a job and was selected for a permanent Job during my internship itself.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Fees were a bit high during that time, but ROI was good as well so it's justified. We had top companies coming to our campus for interviews. We had stipends during our internship as well. There were no scholarships available and I am not sure of Financial assistance as well.
Campus Life :
We used to have a Star Awards event, I received an award as well. Books and a library were available and it was great. The library was huge and full of knowledge. The classrooms were okay and fine. We used to play sports of some sort but rarely as time was a constraint for us. We do have an IIP alumni group.
Admission :
I got to know about this course because of my teachers in the college, not many knew about this and believe me it was the best decision to take up the course. I succeeded well and go a job during a campus interview. You can find out about this here - iip-in.com. The eligibility was a graduate with 50 % marks. They had their own entrance exams and if passed, there was a personal interview. 40 seats were only available. During my time anyone could take it, a student without an engineering background would find it difficult.
