Course Curriculum Overview :

I would honestly say that the University of Mumbai needs to revise the curriculum & teach us some new technology, and stop teaching the old outdated technology. Secondly, there should be more practicals & activities which makes one understand the real industrial processes & should provide more exposure to industry via internships

College Events :

Techfest Cultural fest Sports week

Campus Life :

There are sports days But no robotics events or debates...

Hostel Facilities :

No hostels Mess food: Okayish...not up to the mark

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Admission :

Online admission

Faculty :

They only teach what's in the book n nothing new. They teach just so that students pass and college moves on. It doesn't matter to them if the student has really understood the topic or no. All They ever care for is attendance!! I think that's what should be improved for betterment of students

LIFE at VIT

Placement Experience:

Students from the 7th semester onwards are eligible for campus placements. Core Biomedical companies like GE, Medtronics, biosense etc and IT companies like TCS, JIO, INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI etc Recruit Biomedical Engineers. Most Biomedical Students prefer Masters over placements. 80 percent of students from selected candidates get placed. I will go for Placements and I will get into post graduation after clearing GATE 2023.

Remarks:

Location is most likely a factor for me. It is closed to my home. And the another factor is that, Different colleges offer different programs with their curriculum. For example, as an Engineering student, I had a set of classes that I was required to take, with little deviation apart from electives.

I haven't experienced placements yet. but yes the deserving students get internship every year. The whole staff of this college is very nice.
