There are lot sporting grounds, you can enjoy your hobbies or maybe pick a new one
Library is fully stacked and you can find resources for anything

Mess food is below average and you will eventually start to eat from outside
There are in campus transportations so you will have to walk 10-15 mins to get places

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose the course because I like the field of dentistry. There is roughly 1 faculty for 20 students. Faculty are extremely qualified and experts in their field and have great sense of knowledge. The teaching methods are amazing and really helpful.

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 309000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There is mandatory internship in the clinics for 1 year and each month your posted in different departments and have to achieve certain quota of work. The pay is 20k per month and rotation happens in batches.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There was fee hike after I took admission but it has been reduced now so no need to worry about that. There is a state scholarship which helps student who have difficulty in paying the fees, they are really helpful.

Campus Life :

There a lot clubs you can take part so you can enhance your hobbies. There are numerous fest happening every alternate month in which you can enroll or just enjoy. There is a fully function sport complex where there is ground for multiple sports and even gym.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are great although i am living in an international hostel so my review might differ from standard experience. All in all the other hostels are amazing as well and very well maintained. There are multiple PGs or flats for rent in close proximity to campus if anyone wants to stay outside campus.

Hostel Fee : INR 200000 per year

Admission :

You have to clear NEET exam and apply through the counseling forum. All the information is available on google. After you are selected for the college, you have to come here and verify your documents in person. The admission process is really simple.

It's a noble profession as we are directly treating patients. The teaching module is greatly designed and allows us to work on ourselves and focus on the betterment of ourselves. Sometimes it becomes a little hectic as the course is really vast.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspects of the curriculum that mainly influenced my decision to choose this course are the equal ratio of theoretical as well as practical training, and we get early clinical exposure when compared with other medical degrees. Through clinical rotations in various departments, students gain experience in diagnosing, scaling procedures, extractions, and restorations. But advanced procedures like lasers, implants, clear aligners, etc are out of the reach of the students. Another good thing is the enhancement of soft skills like communication, patient management, and ethical practise, these are very important for maintaining patient trust. Areas of improvement are management should incorporate more advanced digital dentistry tools and technologies in the curriculum. This could prepare the students for constantly evolving dentistry. The college conducts 3 internal theoretical as well as practical exams before the main University exam.

Clinical exposure and patient focused approach

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus has included compulsory clinical practicals from 3rd year. The OP flow and vast exposure you'll get to have in Oral surgery, conservative dentistry, Prosthodontics, and Oral medicine make AB Shetty one of the most sought-after dental college in india. Teachers are very guiding in clinical, which is what prepares you to be a doctor with apt and profound clinical knowledge and a sense of diagnosis. College is conducting terminal sessions of exams followed by university examinations by the end of the academic year.

The course is named Bachelor of dental surgery dealing with the oral cavity it has many fields oral pathology, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pedodontics, conservative dentistry and endodontics, oral medicine and radiology, oral and maxillofacial surgery .including medical subjects of 1st,2nd, and 3 years during the 1st 3 years of the course its a very good professional course when we enjoy the work. It has a good review in and around India and the faculty members aid you in your entire course of time.

Based on my NEET score I applied for dental discipline with eligibility letter from University and application form completed. Interview was there about my academic in school and the reason for choosing dental course.

Placement Experience:

Many hospitals across India and foreign countries come here for recruiting trainee doctors for their hospitals. Job fairs are also conducted every year keeping in mind the students welfare. The package depends on the quality of the students.
