- Workload is a little bit on the higher side. can get hectic on some days
- No gap given during exams all the midsems and endsems complete within a week.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose B.Tech(CSE) because of my passion in this area and this is the only sole reason for choosing this course which offers me satisfaction and interest while pursuing it. Talking about the faculty: student ratio is different for all branches. However, students are assigned mentors for extra support. All the faculty have completed their Phd. (or pursuing the same) from great institutes in the field, they are teaching and helpful. The teaching method is good and involves the use of both whiteboard and digital medium( PPTs) In a semester 2 exams are conducted- Mid-Sems (50 Marks/2hrs) and End-Sems (100 Marks/3hrs) papers are easy for the ones who have already prepared beforehand, it is difficult to not pass the exam.
Internships Opportunities :
Many companies come to PDEU for offering on-campus internships at the end of 2nd year. most of the companies offering internships are based out of Ahmedabad while some of them offer work abroad like Germany, UAE etc. JP Morgan Chase offered 4 students international internships in the UK and converted them into 4 PPOs. Being a fresher I dont have many ideas about internships yet.
Placement Experience :
Placements in PDEU are good and improving every year. For CSE and ICT the courses started in 2016 still a lot of good offers have been bagged by the students. One can get good placements by working hard with consistently preparing for them. Companies: Amazon, Reliance, Shell, Jio, JP Morgan Chase etc. Highest: 40lpa Avg:7.5lpa
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Currently, there has been no fee hike. Considering the facilities and the infrastructure that the college provides, the fees taken by the college are valid. A visit to the PDEU campus and classrooms will give a better idea of what is being talked about. The infrastructure in the college can be considered to be at par with the premier institutes of the country. Fees: 113000/ Semester
Campus Life :
Tech Fest: Tesseract, in 2023 tesseract 8.0 was held in the month of February. It was a three-day fest in the college where all the technical clubs held events. Cultural Fest: Flare, going to be held for three days in April 2023. There are 3 libraries in PDEU. All the libraries are connected with an online library book tracking and management system helpful for checking the location and availability of books from any place, at any time. Classrooms are well-ventilated, spacious, and equipped with centralised AC, whiteboards and projectors. Average seating capacity (60-80) 3 sports grounds on the campus and there is a badminton court, tennis court, and basketball court on the campus itself Some Clubs: Encode(CS club of PDEU), Anirveda(Techno economics club), and Synergy(entrepreneurship club). there are about 40+ clubs to choose from.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility is very good. For undergraduate students, there are hostels equipped with one AC per room. Rooms are 2 sharing (till 2nd year ) and then 3 sharing. The boy's hostel is located within walking distance from the campus while the girl's hostel is located inside the college campus itself. Hostel Fees: 85000 Mess Fees: 46000 Mess food is having taste very good compared to messes in other colleges. Food is served 4 times a day (Breakfast, lunch, hi-tea, dinner).
Admission :
PDEU offers all B.Tech courses namely - CSE, ICT, ECE, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, and Petroleum engineering. One can take admission into B. Tech course in PDEU through JEE Main exam scores or through ACPC Counselling. For applying through JEE Main score, an online application form has to be filled out at the official site of PDEU (www.pdpu.ac.in) along with a fee of Rs.700. The application form for 2023 applicants is currently open (preferably till JEE Advanced). applicants will be allocated branches based on JEE score as per merit.
