Remarks :

The course Btech is 4 years long and Students qualifying in Information technology are very excited about the program. They want to explore all the features under this program and want to be a part of it in their working field. The program is approved by certain authorities like Government of India and the Department of Higher education, government of West bengal.

Entrance Preview :

All the interested candidates are eligible only if they have completed class 12th examinations with a minimum aggregate marks of 45% (for general category) and 40% marks (for other & reserved categories). They must have the core subjects in class 12 th as phyics, english, chemistry, computers and mathematics.

Placement Experience :

The institute has a very strong and well organized training and placement cell department that organizes campus interviews and other training programs and value added programs and implement them so that they are able to study and improve their skills on a regular basis. The institute has a very good record of training students.

Campus Life :

Students in the campus are bound to become attracted and familiar to the acoustics and the newest cafeteria in the campus area. The cafeteria has introduced a new alternative menu during the day and it changes on everyday basis. This helps students to energize themselves after spending a lot of time in the college.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are too good and the students not living out there are having a real issue here. They are so much intrigued by the facilities offered in the hostels that they are much more interested in the hostel rather than the renting facilities available nearby the college. Food facilities are also very often.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
