Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course as it is diverse. I can do a masters if I want to, or I can do pharmd (pb) if I want to become a doctor. The faculty of this college is immaculate. As they are all well educated, most of them have done Ph.D.The teaching style is through ppts and using the board both. Every teacher/lecturer has their own teaching style. For the Bpharm course, exams are back to back, we have 2 internal exams before the university exams, so we can strengthen our knowledge before writing the university exam.
Placement Experience :
From what I heard from seniors, from 4 yr, they become eligible for placements. I don't know much regarding placements and packages offered. But my plans after getting degree is to do a Masters in Pharmaceutics or Medicinal Chemistry, or PharmD (post-b) course if I want to become a drug therapist or clinical pharmacist and to work abroad as it has more scope there.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for this course are not too expensive and affordable in most colleges. In my college, it was around 75000. As I got a free seat in the entrance exam, I was exempted from paying any fee. But I personally think that there are more side expenses after enrolling in this course, like you need to buy containers for pharmaceutical experiments, a lab coat, records, etc.
Campus Life :
For the fest, we have the Annual Sports fest held at Salar e Millat auditorium near Owaisi Hospital. Different kinds of competitions like basketball, volleyball, cricket, table tennis, kho kho, etc were held, as all the four-year students from both Bpharm and Pharmd were participating, the competition was fierce. This year we celebrated the Graduation ceremony too for the graduates of all pharmacy students. The classrooms are spacious and can accommodate 60 students easily and every classroom has a projector fully equipped and adequate airflow is available.
Admission :
To opt for pharmacy course, one has to write the entrance exam for some colleges, in Telangana, we had to write a common entrance exam for both PharmD and Bpharm courses. Every year around 10 lakh students write this exam, the cutoff for minorities is easy. The cutoff for Pharmd was 500, the last they could come down was 800 out of 10 lakh students. My rank was around 17000, so I easily got the free seat in Bpharmacy in my desired college. The cutoff for Bpharm was 25 or 27000. Deccan was accepting till 18000 so I was able to make it into this college.
