Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose the course of CSE specialization in mathematics and computing because I want a CSE-related branch because all companies allow CSE-related branches to sit in their interview during placements session and I filled out the choice filling sheet according to the cut-off of the university and according to the rank of mine in JEE Mains I got the CSE'MAC branch. There is 1 faculty (professor) for the 89 student strength in each subject in my branch. The qualifications of the faculty are high, they are highly educated and trained, their teaching method is also very helpful and nice but there are always some exceptions are there. The term exams happen timely, the class tests happen regularly in the NSUT and the difficulty level of the term exams is moderate not to hard not to easy if you studied for it.

Internships Opportunities :

The training and placement cell of NSUT is very well, companies always come to give internship opportunities to students. Companies that are very well-named in the market always come to take students of their needs and give internship opportunities to students because our training and placement cell is very active.

Placement Experience :

From the 6th or 7th semester, I guess students of NSUT are eligible for on-campus placement opportunities. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon India, 91 Mobiles, Adobe, Akosha Tech, Amdocs and etc. visit the campus, and a huge no. of offers they made. The Highest package given is 1.2 cr and the average package of NSUT is around 16-18 lakh per annum. Approximately 70 to 80 percent of students get their placements.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure of NSUT is as follows for the year of 2022-2026 is for the first year we have paid 2.19 lakh and on our second year we have to pay 2.29 lakh, on our third year we have to pay 2.40 lakh and on our final year on our 4th year we have to pay 2.50 lakh per annum. There is some scholarships are also available like MCM (Merit Cum Means) for EWS on e-district website, some scholarships for SC, ST and OBC and Universities have there own scholarship on the basis of CGPA, students have to fall under top CGPA holder to avail the scholarship.

Campus Life :

College life is pretty decent in NSUT if we put aside the 75% attendance policy and some strictness like there are lots of societies to join for a student as per their interest. NSUT conducts the annual fest Moksha which was so famous for the greatness and fun in Delhi and societies also conduct their annual events like Tech week, ethnic day, and all. The library of NSUT is pretty big and well ordinated, you will find all kinds of books and journals related to your interest and related to your course/branch. The amenities in the classroom for a first-year student are fabulous, for first-year students, their classes are held at APJ Halls and they are really huge and well advanced but after the completion of the first year, they shift to their department buildings that are a regular class like wooden desks and a blackboard / green board. There are lots of opportunities for sports and extracurricular activities on campus if you're interested and willing to do. There are lots of societies to join.

Admission :

The eligibility of the course is you have to score above 60% in your 12th board examination and have clear JEE Mains. For information related to JEE Mains, you have to visit the NTA Official website and after clearing JEE Mains you have to visit the JAC Delhi Counseling website and register on them and keep an eye on the site for information related to admission to the NSUT and all universities or colleges that comes under JAC Delhi Counseling. Reservation quota is also there in JAC Delhi Counseling, for a general student he/she have to score more in JEE Mains as compared to EWS, EWS students have to score more as compared to OBC students, OBC students have to score more as compared to SC students, SC students have to score more as Compared to ST students and outside Delhi students cut off is higher than Delhi quota students.

At IIITD students become eligible for internships after 2nd year. First sem students also get a chance to get internship from UNIQLO. The company takes some students from first sem and offer them stipends and a trip to tokyo. The percentage of placements is good at IIITD but it went down during recession. The highest package offered is 55lpa domestic and 120lpa overseas and the avg package is 20-25 lpa. Approx 70% students got placed in year 2024

Placement Experience:

5th semester students are eligible for internships and 7th semester students are eligible for placements( full time offers) Many bigtech companies like Google, Microsoft, Uber, Salesforce, Intuit etc visit our campus and hiring rate is not that bad, depends upon the company's budget and students' calibre. Average package of our college varies between 13 lakhs to 19 lakhs and most of the companies come for software developer roles. Didn't planned yet

Remarks:

* the comparison of pros and cons are based on all the colleges under GGSIPU and not IIT, or NITPros:Transportation: college is well connected and within metro, bus routes, the choice is yours.Good campus: In GGSIPU campus of ADGITM is one of the best.Faculty: Faculty are good and always there for your helpCollege Societies: From sports to arts and culture to entrepreneurship college has societies, if you want to join and explore then society are one of the best place to explore as they are quite active.Infrastructure: the college has good infrastructure considering other college of GGSIPU.Cons:Placement for other branch than CS and IT are very rare if you want to work in core sectors. The education is based on to get marks in the end sem and not to learn and grow, which is the sad part.Investment in societies by college is negligible, student manages most of the events by themselves that is one of the reason most of the societies underperform than their calibre. If you are getting MAIT or GB pant go for that as the education is quite same but there you can get more placement opportunity in the core sector. and more space to grow.My time admission was based on GGSIPU CET but now it is based on JEE Main score as GGSIPU comes under JEE Main.

Admission:

Yes there was a written test and the admission is purely on the base of written test, and rank achieved in that written test. Written test is JEE main and it is based on physics, maths and chemistry of 12th standard.
