The college is very good .I am satisfied with this college .The management is very good .If u find any problem ,management resolves it quickly .The college rooms are good but you find a little hot in summer time because ac is not available in class ac is

Entrance Preview :

I got a rank of 15594 in WBJEE.After that i got admission in this college.I don't want to drop a year and i have a good rank in WBJEE makes my mind to take admission in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is best and faculty is good but some faculty are worst .You don't want to miss the class of good faculty due to their good teaching skills and you don't want to attend the class of worst teacher because when they teach you don't even understand what they are saying.

Internships Opportunities :

A lot of companies come every year .If u want to take internship you get it easily.

Placement Experience :

This college is a very good platform.It gives us various opportunities to take job .A lot of companies visit the college every year and i think that the students who have a little interest in studies will get the job easily .

College Events :

There is a lot of fun in the college festival like riveria.Every year riveria as a cultural fest is celebrated and we all enjoy very much at that time .Technical fest is also celebrated every year in which their are many things to participate.Many events are also held in the college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

You get loans easily from any bank .The college also provides scholarship to poor students .

Campus Life :

The campus life is great .You have plenty of things to enjoy.The campus is very big.there are parks and restaurant in campus .I think that gender ratio is male:female 6:4.a gymnasium hall is also there in the campus .There is no any politics in the campus .A lot of competition is happening in the college at the time of technical fest,like robotics etc .

Hostel Facilities :

Some hostel like akash and abhinandan are very good and their management are superb .But many of the hostel like p1,p2,hh,balaji these are bad hostels their management are very bad and don't say about food .If you got akash or abhinandan then you are very

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
