Remarks :
To be eligible for admission, one must have cleared JEE Mains with a decent rank. JAC Delhi is the medium through which I came to know about the college, it was published as an ad in the newspaper. All the updates are provided by JAC Delhi only. It was a seamless process with no serious delays or problems.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose Computer Science and Engineering as I always wanted to do that. The faculty is quite helpful here and qualified, the majority of them being Ph.D. experts in their field. The exams are easy to pass if one starts studying even 10 days before the exams.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship-based companies start coming in on July 1st week. Google is the first one to arrive always. All great paying companies come from mid-October to November. An average stipend there is over around 80k/month. Google, Microsoft, etc. give more than 1 lakh/month. The highest amount is given by Sprinklr i.e. 2 Lakh/month. To list a few others - Flipkart, my karma, Adobe, Intuit, Winzo, and Morgan Stanley all are high-paying companies. All these are for software engineer roles. Very rarely do companies come for nontech roles in an internship. Also maintaining a good GPA i.e. above 8 or 8.5 is a must for getting a good internship, as the competition for internships has increased a lot.
Placement Experience :
On-campus internships and placements start on July 1st week. Internship-based companies come for the ones who have just finished 2nd year and placements for the ones who just completed 3rd year. For internships, fewer companies come as compared to the number of companies that come for placements. So ideally one should start coding from 1st semester itself and groom your coding skills so that you are better off than many, grab an internship in a good company, work hard there and get a pre-placement offer. you are now free to enjoy the whole of your 4th year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees increase annually, usually a 5-7% increase is there. The cost of study and living is affordable. In addition to that, scholarships are present for various purposes including parents earning less than 2 lakhs annually, and scholarships for performing well in the college exams (among the top 3 of your branch, the scholarship name is TIS).
Campus Life :
Campus life is the best part of college. There are beautiful lawns, nescii to be particular and a gym park and various sports facilities too. And if you are a hosteller, congrats you are one of the elite consumers of the college campus. There are various societies in the college like shakesjeer-the stand up society, mirage-the dance society, crescendo-the music society, and crosslinks-the baap society. Fests also take place regularly, Moksha in March and Resonanz in October are the cultural fests, and Innovision is the tech fest. Apart from these, there are DJ nights during the sports day and in hostels. Currently, there are 2 canteens-student centers and amul. All in all, if you are a hosteller, you are going to enjoy campus life.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel room price is around 30000 and the mess fee is 20000. Mess food is not tasty, and sometimes people fall ill from eating it. The hostel is allotted via the university management system where you get to apply for a hostel and then it is allotted based on your distance from the campus. the priority is always given to outside Delhi quota students. if space is left, then Delhi quota students are admitted on the same basis. If you are from outside Delhi, be assured you'll be landing up in the hostel. The hostel has a capacity of around 250 students.
