Only West Bengal students are admitted into the college based on their Ranks in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). Forms can be filled up from the exam website. The cutoffs were around 12000 for general Candidates and higher for reserved Personal.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course based on what I can receive after 4 years i.e. A job and some stability since the college provides 100% placements. Faculty to student ratio is about 1:4. The faculty holds doctorate degrees and are well experienced to teach the papers. Exams are solely based on what's being taught in the classes and it's easy to moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are offered to students during their 6th semester. Food and lodging are provided by the company and some pay stipends above it of around 6-8k, some 10-12. The roles offered are Management Trainee, Sales, and Production depending upon the company.
Placement Experience :
Students undergo Internships after their 6th semester, some bag PPO, and others undergo the placement process during their 7th semester. Companies like Saint Gobain, TRL Krosaki, Calderys, HR Johnson, OCL India, RHI Magnesita, Vedanta, etc. Visit our college and the average pay ranges from 5.5-6 LPA and the highest being 9 LPA. 100% of the students from the Ceramic branch are placed in the core field.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is comparatively less, around 8500/-year. Students bag 100% Internship after their 3rd year and Jobs during their last year. Many types of financial assistance are given to students. Internships are mainly low-paid with some exceptions like Saint Gobain paying around 36000 for 3 months.
