Remarks :

I got admission through KCET. In the KCET counseling from my opted colleges, I got this college. There were no reservations as I got admission in the GM seat. The admission process was good enough and was not too complicated.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because I was interested in programming as I had studied basics in my classes 11 and 12th. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:60. Faculties are well qualified most of them have done their Ms. and a few are P.H.D holders. Exams are not too difficult.

Class Size : 70Course Fees : INR 88000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Many MOUs are being signed by the college to increase internship opportunities for Btech students first they train you for the job and then you will be required to do the job and get paid accordingly.

Placement Experience :

7 semesters is when students are eligible for campus placements. There are a lot of companies that visit our campus for placements some of them are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, COGNIZANT, etc. If you are skilled enough you can easily get placed in some of the good companies which over a very high package.

Fees and Financial Aid :

If you are someone who is coming through KCET, the fees are quite low whereas the management and comedk students would be paying higher fees. There are state scholarships, sports, and even general scholarships for all kinds of students.

Campus Life :

There is Aavishkar and Technica as the cultural and tech fest and there are also more events being conducted in college, for example, ethnic day, Halloween event, Diwali celebration, etc. There are enough books available for each course and some very well-known, self-help books available in the library. There is a stadium being built right now which will be constructed within 6 months so there is enough scope for sports. There are various and so many varieties of clubs which you can be part of and contribute to the club and their events.

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.
