Remarks :
The admission process is slow and time-consuming. Once you are registered you have to wait about a month for the choice to fill. The process should be started a little earlier. During Covid times they call you after months to verify documents. Otherwise, it is good.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum has been updated recently but it is still a little outdated. Some of the professors are very dedicated and you would be lucky to have them. The experienced professors generally teach very well. Most of the faculty are Ph.D. from NSUT and some from IIT and abroad. The exams are somewhat easy and you can score by studying couple of weeks before the exams.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are plenty and mostly for technical roles. Nontechnical internships are very less. A lot of students get placed after the second year and some after 3rd year. Google, Microsoft, Sprinklr, etc. come for internships and many also offer PPOs based on performance. The highest stipend was around 2Lakh per month. The roles offered are SDE intern, Full Stack intern, etc.
Placement Experience :
Students become eligible for placements in the 4th year and companies start coming around July. Many companies like Microsoft, DE Shaw, Atlassian, Uber, Google, etc. visit the campus. The highest international and domestic packages in 2022 were 1.06 Cr by Amazon Germany and 64L by Apple respectively. The average was around 17LPA and the median was around 14.5LPA. The percentage of students placed is higher in CS and IT. Around 95% get placed in CS and IT and about 60-70% in Mechanical, Electrical, etc. I plan to get a placement in college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for the first year were 2.06 lakh and for the second year, it was 2.19 lakh. So, there is a little fee hike every year. Numerous scholarships are available for the underprivileged. The scholarships are need cum merit-based. Education Loans are also available. Jobs on campus are available for MTech students but not for B.Tech students.
Campus Life :
Campus Life is a combination of exciting and boring. In regular days it is very good and their are many things to do in and around the main campus. During exam time, the schedule is pretty boring. Their are two cultural fests i.e. Moksha and Rezonanz and one Techfest, i.e. Innovision. Newer classrooms have great amenities but not the older ones. Sports grounds and coaches are great. Many societies are there and you can join them according to your interests.
