Remarks :
You need to have at least 50% in the science stream(mandatory). Maths is also a compulsory subject. You Have to give entrance tests like NATA, IIT JEE MAIN PAPER 2. There are quota benefits .as you can better rank after sitting for the entrance test. I had a very good ranking and marks. but I still wasn't able to get my 1st preference college due to quota and reservations.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because it is very practical, you don't have to be in class, you can go out, explore and learn. I love to draw and design. The faculty-student ratio is 1:40 Teachers are good and helpful .they all are architects and everyone has a totally different view of your design. There are 2 semesters, so 4 unit tests and 2 yearly exams, the theory exams are fine but the practical ones where you have to present your work in front of a juror are tough. it is not necessary if they'll like your design or not .so they can give you fewer marks.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Architecture is not provided at DU s .so the fees are high here. It's more than 1 lakh for 1 year and there are 5 years .very long course. There are no on-campus placements. The worst thing about an architecture college .you need to go out there and find a job yourself. They'll write you a recommendation letter to get an internship.
Campus Life :
We mainly have 2 programs namely aagman(for freshers) and udaan(for farewell). No fests are there as the college campus is very small. The library is fine. Clubs are there but they don't work much as you have a lot of load of work in this field. Architecture requires extra hard work .it's a very tiring degree. The classrooms are very big and airy. Not much social life .people are mostly engrossed in their laptops to finish their design. You can find students sitting on stairs and ground with their laptops to do work.
