Remarks :

The entrance exam was there for all west Bengal colleges. It was the same as JEE. You can apply for this exam online. Regarding reservation, I don't know. For applying the form you need to be a science student with maths. No backlog.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was interested in this course so I opted for it. For my stream faculty was best. The teaching methods were also good some teachers are so good that you will fall in love with the subject. Our term exams were always taken on a regular basis.

Class Size : 50Course Fees : INR 40000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Regarding internships, companies come and at my time many got the internship, and also after completing the internship they were offered jobs. So it was nice as companies like mac cafe came so it really matters.

Placement Experience :

During my time the placement was very good. Almost every student got placed. The only thing is a company that is service-based only come. Product-based companies are rare. I myself got placed in Sopra Steria with k package of 4.5 LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Compare to other colleges in India all west Bengal colleges are so affordable that anyone can study here. Apart from that you also have a scholarship facility where if you get more than 9 cgpa in 1st year then you can opt for it also there is the option to change your stream if you like.

Campus Life :

The campus is very jolly and safe. No fear of ragging, unlike other colleges. Classrooms are good and the practical rooms are also well equipped for CS and IT stream for core branches it lacks the equipment.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

From seventh semester the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are like TCS, Cognizant, infosys, mindtree and many others. The avg pkg is 6 lpa and highest is 12 lpa. 90 percent students gets placed.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
