BA (Communication and Media Studies, English and Psychology)

Remarks :

The admission process was fairly simple. The interview process might seem tricky to a few but it was pretty straightforward. A passing grade is enough in 12th grade for the program. I applied to other colleges too but I believe the brand value that Christ carries is unmatched.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose my course for a couple of reasons: it was a subject I did at a level, the only subject I have found to completely and utterly grab my attention and interest me fully studying it will give me a number of transferable skills

Placement Experience :

Placements do happen in our college with the average package being around 6 L.P.A. Most students plan to study further on so the usefulness of having campus placements varies from individual to individual.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarships are available to students who finished their 12th grade in Bangalore. Fees for me are Rs80,000 per year. I'm not sure about campus jobs. We do get a lot of information usually about scholarships and such.

Campus Life :

Extremely vibrant and sportive. People are extremely friendly and there's virtually no ragging. Events take place every other day and classrooms are extremely well made. Social groups are plentiful and there are tons of opportunities for students.

Interview Experience :

I was asked about my interests in the interview and why I should join the program. General knowledge is quite important and I would advise anyone to read newspapers for a month at least. Extracurriculars carry weightage too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In class 12,I got good marks in my political science subject and that's when I decided to join BA Political Science Honours programme. Everything is well managed in this section but the marks provided to students is not satisfactory.

They're are one or two placements option for BCom students and BA people barely have any placements option in any college so it's the same condition here, Final year students are eligible for placement process, 20-30 students get placements in year maximum

Remarks:

The management is weak i would say very weak but i cant complain because as i mentioned earlier due to the three way split of Bangalore University the management is trying to cope up with the situation.

Admission:

As i am preparing for the civil service exams i thought that starting the preparation with my graduation would help me a lot in bringing regularity in my life and in addition to that the syllabus of BA in Bangalore Central University overlap some of the topics of Civil Serivice Syllabus. The admisson to Bengaluru Central University is Pretty simple, its just walk in interview type Admission. The admisson for new clusters starts from mid - July.

Remarks:

I find Christ University to be a really good College where students are moulded with experiences and new talents to cope up with difficulties in future. The professionalism in the College maintained and discipline structure is quite strict but this is what keeps a student keep up with such discipline.
