Remarks :

Eligibility for Bachelor of Financial Markets - Must have basic knowledge about Indian Stock Markets and concepts related to it . Student must be a keen learner about the same. HSC passed out can avail the course easily. Application forms are available on the college website (mccmulund.ac.in) under the respective tabs. Application forms cost Rs.100 each. For students with Reservation benefits must provide the college with original documents of the same which mostly include Caste Certificate , Creamy Layer Certificate, Income Certificate of Parents ( to avail scholarship) Improvement - College website has a very poor server which i think is a big issue when it comes to online admission.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Financial Markets is a very newly designed course by Mumbai University and offered by Mulund College of Commerce. It has a vast syllabus which includes everything about Indian Stock Markets and thorough information about Trading and Equity Markets. I choose this course to make myself more knowledgeable about the financial structure and fundamentals of Indian Markets . The faculty includes highly qualified and experienced teaching staff , college also offers teaching jobs to its alumni who have eligible qualification. Most of our teachers are Chartered Accountants and hold a master's degree. Teaching methods in our college is one of the creative ways learning has been made easy and interactive. Teachers make use of power point presentation, real-time market situations, YouTube videos to explain us right from basic to hard levels. Teachers had been constantly in touch with us while we used to prepare for our exams. Faculty also provided us with Mock Tests and Question Banks for preparing

Placement Experience :

Students become eligible for placements right from 5th Semester (Third Year). Percentage of students successfully getting placed is pretty average as most of students from our college prefer to get further education in foreign countries. Companies visiting our college include TCS, Deloitte, TJSB bank and various stock holding companies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Three Year Course of Bachelor of Financial Markets costs around 5.7 Lakhs in total . Fees for academic year change gradually depending on year of education. Economically backward classes have been offered scholarship. The students who wish to avail it , must fill few forms and provide Income Certificate of Family . I'm a student yet so no question of getting a job arises over here . But one thing i know about my college is that placements happen every year in the month of December to February.

Campus Life :

Spectrum- Four complete days filled of joy.It is the Grand Annual Fest which takes place in month of December. Technobeat is the Tech Fest organized by students of IT and CS departments. Financial Markets student have their own magazine named 'Finanza'. Panache is one of the most grandly celebrated fest which is organised by students of Mass Media .There are two huge libraries for students which are open right from 8 in the morning to 5 in the evening with plenty of books. College also provides textbooks to students who can't afford it. The classrooms are well lit and have clean benches along with Projectors and Screens. College offers a wide range of sports and extra curricular courses. The college has its own Gymkhana and a huge, newly constructed Turf. Fees charged for the Turf is Rs 1000 per month.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Bcom degree is not recognized now a days because people around take it as a simple course. But if you are really interested, you can build a career out of it. Bcom degree over a period of 3 years provides wide variety of knowledge in accounts, auditing, costing, business management, economics, advertising, computers and even taxation. All the fields of commerce are covered in this 6 Semester course. Only the thing is how students pursue it. Syllabus now has case studies for all subjects which help students get well versed with how the world beyond this walls works. It gives an idea as to how to find solutions for the problems in every field of commerce. However, I feel that the curriculum should include industry visits atleast once a year as the projects and assignments for the course are basically dependent on it. Besides this, studying is important even if you are pursuing a simple Bcom degree. I have realised that difficulty level of exams increase in every Semester

Placement Experience:

Symbiosis saw an upward jump in placements, with equal opportunity given to every student. along with placements, internships are also according to the needs and interests of the students and no one is left behind.
