Remarks :

After successfully clearing the WBJEE entrance exam, I sat for the counselling process to take admitted to the college. In my 2nd round of counselling, I got a seat in Computer Science and Engineering branch at Camellia Institute of Engineering and Technology. In 2020 the cut off for the CSE branch was around 35000. After reaching this college, I was satisfied with the college and was finally taken admission in this College.

Course Curriculum Overview :

From my school time, I have had an interest in computers and the functions of computers. How it works. Besides that, I also have an interest in making websites, and Android apps and learning different programming languages. This is why I choose this course. The ratio of students and teachers is 1:15. Every teacher and faculty member are well educated and always tries to help us. They always provide students with the necessary materials that help students in their studies. If any student has any problem with any subject, faculties are always ready to give them suggestions and take extra classes also. In college every 1 month after an internal exam arrange. Students should attend every exam physically. Every semester we have to give 4 internal exams or viva. To pass the exam you just attend the classes regularly and revised the topic that you learn in class.

Internships Opportunities :

Our college also provides internships for students. The internship facilities start in the 2nd Year. Students can apply to the company and suitable roles in which they are interested. College authorities always try to help students in this opportunity. And after the lockdown, our college tries to improve for approach to different companies.

Placement Experience :

Our college holds a very good record in placement. From 3rd students can apply for the campus placement and internship. Cognizant, Coco-Cola, Ronch, BT, Emami, Dell, IFB, and Accenture are the famous companies to visit our campus. In a year maximum of 150 students easily got offers from these companies. The average package is around 500000 per annum and the maximum is around 750000 to 900000 per annum.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The average fees for B.Tech are 250000 for 4 years. During Covid and lockdown, many students can't afford the high amount for their studies, in this situation our college gave them a special scholarship also. Talking about scholarships we can apply for all the state government and central government scholarships. And For west Bengal students now our college also provides Students Credit card scheme too. Besides these facilities, our college also gives some special scholarships for the students who are brilliant in studies but have some financial problems.

Campus Life :

Camellia Institute of Engineering and Technology College campus is really big. On-campus premises, there is a Polytechnic College, B. Tech college and a Public school present. In Library all of the books are presented to students. Students can easily use the books and library facilities during college time. Our culture fest, named Menestyz conducted each year in the month of May. All the students are involved in this program to give great success. Also, Tech fest, Blood Donations, Annual sports, Cricket Tournament, Football Tournament, industry visit, and rural visit programmes are also arranged by the college Authority.

Hostel Facilities :

When You take admitted to the college you have the option of a hostel. Hostel rooms are very big and Clean. In the hostel maximum of 4 students stay in a room. College provides a bed, study table, pillow, blanket for the students and other necessary things should be bought by students. We get 4 times meals in a day, morning breakfast, lunch, tiffin and dinner provided for students. There are also options for a non-veg meal and veg meals but you have to inform the early canteen committee. The foods are very good and tasty and canteen always maintain the Hygienic in canteen premises. I prefer you to stay in a hostel rather than stay outside or any PG. But if you have some Problems then PGs are also available here. There are many messes within 5 mins walking distance.

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.
