Remarks :

So there are many ways by which you can apply here. I applied through NEET apart from that you can avail self supporting quota or you can apply through CENTAC. The neet cutoff can vary year to year but to be on safer side if you have rank less than 50k you can get here.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because, after MBBS, I feel BVSc & AH is the best. It provides you with more opportunities in varying sectors and it is also very fun. And if you love animals then it will be more fun for you. The faculty in our college is very good, all of them are very supportive and each of them has utmost knowledge in their field. Our Physiology and LPM HOD have even published a book on understanding farm animals. Exams and everything are timely and in this course, you will have to study regularly otherwise you will fail. Personally, I feel it's tough than MBBS as you will have to study more than one species in complete detail ( Ox horse dog fowl pig rabbit).

Internships Opportunities :

In my course, there is one year of compulsory internship, before that your course is not complete. The internship stipend is decent and they will send you to different places during the internship. Also, you will have an internship project internship where you will have to grow and manage livestock and earn profit from it.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees here are a little bit more than what it is for other veterinary colleges. Fees also depend on the quota from which you are joining the College. Also, pondicherry as a city is expensive. You will get a stipend only during the internship.

Campus Life :

There is no annual fest as such but you will get a fresher's party. The library contains all the course-related books and apart from that, it contains journals also related to the course. The library has an air conditioner (AC) system, so it's fun to study there. In our class, we have an AC projector and sound system for smooth and great teaching. We also have sports facilities. Once in a week, we have a compulsory sports period. Apart from that, we have a badminton basketball and volleyball court. Also, we have a ground for cricket and football. If you are a good player you can get selected for the college team and you can play inter-college matches. There is one Instagram page of our college its name is RIVER Official.

Hostel Facilities :

The room is good. You can get single or double room. They will provide you with bed, table, chair, cupboard and a ceiling fan. The meal is good and if you love south indian cuisine you will love here. But as a north Indian you would miss chapathi's here because you won't get chapathi's daily. The hostel is very affordable. It is 10000 per year. If you would look for PG then it would be obviously expensive and it would depend on other factors like what kind of room you want and in which locality.

The unexpected avenue

Remarks:

Hostel and infrastructure is not well maintained owing to the funding issues from the government. The government does not think much about the welfare of the students as they recruit at very less frequency which is forcing the students to look for alternatives in other states.

The college is the best in India. I'm so glad that I'm here. The faculty is friendly and the rules are very fair. There is no bad I can think of about my college. The best college where you come to know the status of animal lives, their behavior and how superior they are to humans.

It’s postitve only it’s 54acres if college and negative is professors are narrow minded only few and not all and go green campus well equipped lab facilities and professors are good teaching and they take all class not like other government colleges
