THAPAR INSTITUTE:EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Remarks :

The admission is through the jee mains exam rank. But in the past 2 years because of covid delaying the jee examinations the admission process is done through CBSE Boards 12th examinations results. There is no other way to enter the college. There is a 50% quota for people residing in Punjab or who have completed their 12th from Punjab.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The exams are held once every 2 months, and the exam difficulty is moderate to difficult, around 30-40% of the questions asked are based on the practice sheets provided by the professors. This course has a good placement record for many years.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship organizations start offering internships to students after the completion of the second year. The internship, in the beginning, is unpaid and for experience only you have to do 2 projects under that org .one minor and another major and you will get a letter of recommendation from the orrg/company.

Placement Experience :

From the 6th semester onwards the students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit to pick students from our college to hire for example Microsoft, Nvidia, IBM, amazon, ola, uber, and Oyo. I plan to pursue MBA after completion of my degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are pretty high compared to other private colleges, and the hike in the fees can be seen every year. Scholarships are offered based on your cgpa score in the first year and onwards for every year.

Campus Life :

The library is the highlight of the campus in Patiala. There are many to almost every book in that library of many genres. The sports complex in the college is a bit disappointing despite having 262 acres of campus there is only one badminton hall and the same for every other sport.

Hostel Facilities :

The meal quality is pretty nice and the food offered in those meals has a balanced structure of taste and health. The registration process is done through an online google form. The rooms are very spacious and tidy and laundry services to are provided.

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is good and differs in every course, the highest placement record is 45.5lpa which is going to be increased the number if companies visiting is also increasing which increases the number of placements and the average package is 8lpa. If I can't get a on campus placement then I will try for off campus placement. Students of final year of their course will be eligible for the placements if they fulfill the company putted criterias. As college promised the 100% placement but it is not right only some students were getting placed who have some extra skills and knowledge Various companies visited the college every year like Autodesk, Cisco, XPERI, Toki, Accenture, Edoofa, delta x, RT camp etc and provides a good number of placements

Placement Experience:

so every year different companies visit our campus and people from the fourth year are able to see for the placement. Firstly, we have to clear a written entrance test once clear that the company will interview them and get the job so the highest package last year went 25,00,00 per annum. However, the average package is six lakh per annum. It completely depends upon your CGPA and your personal skills, how much you groom yourself to be fit for that company. Tech and non-tech companies both visit.

Placement Experience:

If we have skills, we get placements here, and if we work hard, we can get up to 50 LPA. Most of the renowned companies will come for placements, for example, Microsoft, Google, etc. TCS will give a high number of job offers, but the package is low. It all depends on you and your skills. The placement percentage in Computer Science is about 80-90%, and the average is 7 LPA.

There were many companies like Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Google, Wal-Mart and more than 800+ companies visited for campus placements. I will prefer for startup if I will not get the desirable placements offers.

Placement Experience:

CT University has best placement record till now. They have 400+ recruitment partners. Companies like byjus, paytm, infosys, max healthcare and capgemini have already recruited students from CT University. CTU also have corporate resource centre in ct university , to provide ample opportunities for full time internships, on job trainings and placement in reputed companies. Also, students are doing internships with stipends within the university also as CTU ambassadors along wwith theirt study, so this should be a good enough proof of the quality of the skills being imparted to the students.
