Entrance Preview :

I had appeared OJEE Entrance Exam in 2007. Got nearly about 14000 rank. But the main reason behind choosing this college is that it situated at my home-town and the Silicon Bhubaneswar has a good reputation & it's the branch of that college.

Internships Opportunities :

No, it does not provide any kind of internship. Also no stipend facility is there.

College Events :

A lot of events are beings conducted. Such as Orientation, Welcome ceremony, Annual Cultural event, Atheistic meet, Tech Fest .

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure increases every year. It's not constant. For the first batch it was about 65000 per year. Hostel charger was about 20000.

Exam Structure :

Exam pattern is good. It's predefined by the university. It is of semester system. You have to appear 100 mark per subject. Out of which 70 marks in Semester and 30 marks in Class test. There are 3 class test per semester per subject having 10 marks.

Admission :

I had appeared OJEE entrance exam in 2007. After getting the OJEE result, I had been called for the Counselling where I had to choose a college and also had to select a Branch. I had chosen Electronics & Tele-Communication at Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur.

Review regarding Nalanda Institute of Technology(NIT), Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements where they have to show their skills to the interviews in order to get placement. The name of the companies visited are Infosys, Oracle, Dalmia, Tata. The average package the companies give is around 3 to 4 lacs. My plan after getting the degree is to already settle by getting a placement.

According to seniors , placements are good and decent comparing to other nits . After 6 semester , company are hiring for placements . Many companies has visited more than enough . Highest package I seen in 23 is 1.12 CR in rubrik from senior . My plans after degree is doing sde job at company.

Reality of GIFT college

Placement Experience:

Placements! Once upon a time in year 2016-17 Amazon, Oracle etc used to come... Now all are just less paying startups who select for 3,4,4.5 lpa on average Yeah some get 9-10lpa if they are really good, opportunities are always there for good students, but not more than this... If you're dreaming a 13,15,20,50lpa package, don't wake up, it's not possible in real life here (atleast till now)

Students are available from 7th semester for their placements. This college provides a good environment for professional study. I got alloted to the college through my entrance mark so i chose it. It was my dream to study Electrical engineering but i didn't got the branch in any other college and i got the department over here so i thought it would be better to study here

Various companies visit our campus for recruitment. Among those companies the name of some big companies are TATA, INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, JINDAL, LNT. For being able to sit in the interview for any campus a student must have scored a minimum of 7 cgpa and must have good communication skills. In my knowledge there is no big startup by our batch.
