Remarks :
To apply for the Course one must complete their 12th grade or Intermediate in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English. Applications and all related details are displayed and informed offline within the campus or available on Vignan's website online (vignan.ac.in) with an application fee of INR 1200. No Caste reservations but one with a good academic background will be provided with Scholarships from 75%.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As I am interested to work in R&D I have chosen this course. The faculty: student ratio is nearly 1:20.Every faculty in our department is a Ph.D. holder and they opt for both the traditional blackboard methods and modern digital displays to teach. There will be 3mids per semester and every Monday there will be a week tests and labs were also conducted as per schedule...Faculty are so friendly and are always helpful and encourage us to write reviews, papers and do our best projects...And with all these kinds of facilities and faculty, it is very easy to pass exams.
Internships Opportunities :
The college and faculty will help us to get many internship opportunities in prestigious institutions like ICRISAT, Reddy's Laboratory, CCMB, etc Even though I am still in my second year I got an opportunity to do an internship at Tulasi seeds with the help of our faculty. Also, there will be a lot of learning I have done 3projects in college and I have written a review article that is under publication I am on my way to writing 3new articles and a big project by coordinating with my friends in the Bioinformatics branch.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly fees for B.tech in Biotechnology are INR 130000 and the admission fee is 20,000 INR. Scholarships up to 75% will be given to merit students and those with a GPA of 10 and Eamcet rank less than 10,000 Neet marks above 450 can easily get the scholarship. Also who didn't get scholarships during the time of admission have an opportunity to get Scholarships if they can manage to score 90% in semester exams.
Campus Life :
Like every student's dream, our college provides the best environment for students both with faculty and friends by conducting various events...Generally, a department fest like VIBHA is annually conducted...And MAHOTSAV is a National level university fest...We have many Student bodies like SAC, UEAC, E-cell, Sports Club, and NSS. And a Sports fest is also conducted annually. We have a huge ground to play many sports like cricket, football, shuttle, badminton, etc., Our Library is one the best Library with the availability of almost all books related to all courses.
