Admission to the Indian institute of information technology Kalyani is primarily entrance-based. The candidates are selected through a national level examination called Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains. The candidates can apply for counseling through JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority ) portal and the last (sixth) round cutoff is around 36k all India rank.

Course Curriculum Overview :

IIIT Kalyani is one of the colleges which has shown exponential growth every successive year in terms of results and placements. This college comes under the mentorship of IIT KHARAGPUR and has also been attributed the status of Institute of national importance. The faculty is very supportive and the peers are also very helpful and eager to share their knowledge.

Placement Experience :

This college has improved a lot in terms of placements in the last five years. The institute currently runs a four-year B.Tech program in computer science and engineering and electronics and communication engineering. some of the major IT companies such as Wipro, TCS, IBM, PWC, Cognizant, Goldman Sachs, Jio, MAQ Software, Deloitte, and many more, have recruited students from this institute. Almost 90 percent of the students who registered for placement were placed in one of these companies with an average package of about 10 lakh per annum as of January 2022.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college offers three popular programs which are B.E./B.Tech(4-year course ), M.E./M.Tech (3-year course ) and Ph.D. (3-year course ). The total fees for the whole B. Tech degree of four years is approximately eight lakhs. That of M.Tech is around 1.6 lakhs and for Ph.D. it is about 30k INR.

Campus Life :

Indian institute of information technology Kalyani library consists of more than 2400 books. The college has in-campus boys hostel and girls hostel. It has AC classrooms, computer labs, cafeteria, hospital and medical facilities and transport facilities from hostel to college campus. The institute has its own equipments for sports and induces the spirit of sports in the students by encouraging them to participate in the inter college sports competitions such as the IIIT sports meet.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
