Remarks :
The admission process is based on AP EMCET. If you get a good score you will easily get admission here. The admission process is comparatively easy compared to other colleges. There will be a counselling process in order to get admission to the college. During the counselling process, you were asked to provide some certificates and after verifying those certificates you will be provided with a seat based on your rank. Mostly there will be heavy competition for the CSE, IT, ECE branches. You need to have a good rank in order to get into these branches. Since college is affiliated to jntu Kakinada, as usual, if you are a student from AP and if you have a white ration card you will be provided full fee reimbursement. If you haven't any of those you need to pay the full fee.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Based on my rank I got to choose the CSE branch since I was most interested in it. And after joining college I was most satisfied with the faculty. They were highly qualified faculty. They are quite experienced in the field that they are in. Each class on average contain 70 students. Most of the faculty that are teaching here are quite experienced and most of them had completed PhDs, some of them are qualified Mtech faculty. Most of the faculty here are in the teaching field for many years so they easily understand the nature of students. They spend most time clarifying the doubts of students. Coming to term exams they usually conduct mid exams twice per semester. Usually, a semester lasts for four to five months. In between these five months, we have to write both mid and internal exams. By the end of the year, we will be completing two semesters and external exams for both semesters (lab exams). So there will be two-term exams per year.
Internships Opportunities :
The faculty will provide details about various internships and they will guide us through the process. If you're good enough then you will get an internship with decent pay. Mini projects and projects are included in the academic curriculum so it is mandatory for every student to do those projects and mini projects.
Placement Experience :
From the 6th semester onwards students are offered many placement opportunities. Many companies offer various roles and most of the students get placed during campus placements. college is well known for placing students in various companies. The placement staff will take us through the placement process and we will provide feedback about our performance during the placement process. Around 70-80 percent of students will be placed every year and the college is known for its consistency in placing students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
If your a student from Andhra Pradesh and if you have a white ration card which is issued by the government of Andhra Pradesh then you will get full fee reimbursement based on the current fee rules for colleges of Andhra Pradesh. If you didn't own anything like a ration card you have to pay a fee. Besides students with full fee reimbursement, there will be students belonging to two categories. Category A contains students who are eligible by the rank they secured in EMCET and they have to pay fees accordingly. Category B contains students that are not by EMCET rank and the fee structure for those students are bit higher than the remaining students. While coming to scholarships college won't provide any but they will guide us in getting other scholarships like national scholarships.
Campus Life :
As most of us know colleges in Andhra Pradesh contain mostly native Telugu speaking students so there will be a slight problem with outsiders settling in the environment of the college. Coming to our fests mostly there will be technical fests and barely any cultural fests. If you watched a cultural fest in your four years of college life then consider yourself as lucky as they come once in a while. Besides fests, college life is quite good and the infrastructure is better compared to other colleges. The library is very good and very helpful to the students as it contains almost every book. College also has a digital library and it is maintained quite well. Different sports and their equipment are available and the college contains a very good ground to play. There are many clubs that offer various technical and social activities. You will learn many things if you actively participated in the club.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facility provided by the college is better while comparing it with other pgs around the college. The rooms are wide enough for accommodating 3-4 members and are maintained quite well. Coming to the food,this is the only issue and the main issue in the college hostel as it is not good and they won't change it.Importantly they don't provide non veg food .college hostel food mainly suits to vegetarians.The registration process for hostel is not so tough and it completes fastly.
