Remarks :
MIT College of Engineering and Management, Hamirpur had an intrinsic objective for value creation and welfare in society through technical education and training. This allured me a lot and moved me to take admission to this beautiful college.
Entrance Preview :
I got the Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering there as my percentile was 90 in the JEE Mains entrance exam. My rank was around 30,000 and that made me get the seat of Civil Engineering at the college through JEE Mains exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum of civil engineering was very tough as the course demanded that. It was real physics and deep mathematics. All the major topics like kinematics, equilibrium, force, Trus, Centre of Gravity, Rotation, wedge, Friction, everything was instilled in the course curriculum. It was all needed and helped me to gwt a nice job after my degree got finished.
Placement Experience :
The placements at the college for my branch were decent only. The placement panel worked really hard to place each and every student at good positions so that they could build a career out there. So I was also placed with the help of their advice and guidance.
College Events :
Apart from the normal events occurring at the college, my personal favorite was the Inter-College Youth festival. It was really awesome. It inculcated many new talents within me and enriched my self-confidence by providing me the diverse platform to both discover and showcase my new talents of dancing, singing, and playing dramas.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
I had been admitted in the bachelor's degree course of Civil engineering which was a four years course and cost me INR 53,000 per year. These were the basic tuition fees which I found to be very much affordable.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For the scholarship, I had to fulfill the eligibility criteria which was that I had obtained 55% mark and above in my 12th or +2 examinations and possessed all required documents. There were also other scholarships like the Cultural Activists Scholarship which was offered to me as I had excelled in academic and cultural activities and was duly recommended by the Chairperson of my department.
Campus Life :
The campus life was good for Mr. Apart from the natural and scenic beauty of the college campus since it was located on the hills of Himachal Pradesh, I liked the way students brainstormed there. I also had exposure to different mindsets which helped me understand things and people more clearly.
Hostel Facilities :
Since the accommodation policy was prioritized, I chose the hostel for my stay there. The front desk service, laundry facilities, and other amenities were great at the college. The staff was cooperative and took care of our belongings and security 24/7.
Alumni/Alumna :
The Alumni of the college were placed in great positions and they used to come to the college for their sessions where they used to share their experiences with aspirants like me. That exposure really helped me a lot to know the real-world tasks.
Faculty :
The faculties there instilled in me the concept of research, innovation, public and private sector consultancy, entrepreneurship, continuing education thoughts, etc. Their techniques of teaching proved highly beneficial for my career.
