Remarks :

The Govt. colleges are meant for poor students like us. The lecturers / professors never bother about the poor students attending the college regularly in small numbers.

Entrance Preview :

No entrance exam based on my 10+2 (H.S.C.) mark, I got this college by putting an application this college is near to my house. I stayed in saidapet and the college is at Nandanam. Just 2-3 kilometers from my house.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The electives were marketing management and principles of management. In the marketing management, I studied about how to market a product with a correct pricing strategy. In the principles of management, I learnt about how to manage an office.

Internships Opportunities :

No internship was there and as such the question of stipend didn't arise. After the college, I use to work on part time basis in several shops such as stationery shop, milk booth, typewriting institutes etc. I earned a very meagre amount as salary.

Placement Experience :

Since I selected the Commerce course (B.Com) that too in a Govt. college, no question of placement exists. The job opportunities were bleak. Through my neighbour's reference, I joined a Pvt. Co. for a meagre sum as my salary.

College Events :

We have celebrated the Students' Chairman, Secretary, Joint Secretary election programme with much galour. We also celebrated the Tamil cultural programme organised by our students and lecturers.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fees for the first year were Rs.225/- for the I semester and Rs.180/- for the II semester. For the second and thrid year Rs.180/- per semester. In that way the fees were feasible.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Since the fees were feasible, no scholarshp / loan facility were offered by my college. However, for the SC/STs, college fees were refunded after a gap of 6 months to one year.

Campus Life :

I experience with my campus life was good. Near to my college, there is a TNHB Society Canteeen, where we used to have snacks items at a cheaper rate. Through the students senate, we invited eminent speakers to speak about on the current topic. It was very good.

Hostel Facilities :

Since my residence was nearby the college, I didn't stay in the college hostel. I have no idea about the mess food. But I heard that the food offered at the mess were of the poor quality.

Alumni/Alumna :

Very few our collegemates, regularly meet and discuss about our family, the experience at the work place etc. Sometimes, we recall our pleasant moments at the college.

Exam Structure :

The regular exams were conducted once in a year. Any arrears of subjects to be cleared in the next exam schedule announced by the University of Madras.

Faculty :

Being a Govt. college, the faculties and the students rarely come to the class room. Most of the time, there won't be any class only very few student like me make a regular attendance to the college, whether it is working or not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Placement Experience:

There were many opportunities for the students in placement. In the second year of the college itself students were to send for internship in a company. Later in the third year many company interviews were conducted in this college. Probably 80% of the students got placed in the company.

Placement Experience:

Third-year students are eligible for the campus interview. All companies afford the opportunity. Mostly banks like hdfc, hsbc, etc avail the opportunity. In my class there is total strength of 74 students in that 25 students got placed in different companies.

Placement Experience:

Final year UG and PG students are eligible to sit in campus interview. As of for Bcom fields 2 companies namely Deloitte for audit assistant and DE shaw for fellowship associate came to hire .Offers made weren't made public. As of now De shaw came with a package of 9lakh/pa but the entrance was difficult and I am not sure if any of them got placed. Decent number of people were selected In Deloitte.I personally feel the percentage of students getting placed should be increased many times, I m looking for placement. I m someone who is looking for a job in the arena of accounts and finance and looking forward to get placed in a good company and looking forward to be an asset to the company and also build a strong foundation for my career

I'm just joined this college because my father asked to I don't have any choice and no intention or purpose I want to join this college because of their functions like cnd grandly There is bus availability in my area

Placement Experience:

they do not have any placements for the program since this program is usually for the students who either want to write and companies do not go for both so they prepare students with interviews so that we can get jobs in school later
