Remarks :

In, IEM KOLKATA, Mainly addmission happens through 3 ways. 1 WBJEE 2 JEE mains 3 Management quota The application for WBJEE , you can found there official site. The examination will conduct in offline mode. To get CSE in IEM you have to come under 2500 rank for other states. WBJEE have reservations system so IEM have also. If you have not get a good rank in jee mains then this will be a option for you to persue Engineering and get a decent placement. IEM have good number of placement IT companies like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, Cognizant, IBM ,etc. The average package lies around 4.5 to 5 LPA with 85% overall. In CSE it may be 95% or 90%. Talking about campus life , It is not so good experience . You will have not much time to enjoy your Engineering college life. It has also college dress system which fills bad to everyone. Talking about ragging , There is not ragging issues.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I have obtained computer science and business system in IEM KOLKATA through JEE mains rank. In my branch 60 students are present. Faculty of IEM are average . Some are good some are not so good. Some faculties are from IITs and some are from Jadavpur and other colleges. There are 8semester exam 4 years and before every semester threre is also 2 mid term exam. Exam are not so hard.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 70000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

In IEM, Here is not much internship opportunities in college campus. I have not any idea of numbers of internship opportunities as I am now in first year of my college. As you know that the first year students also have not any interestion with seniors due to different campus.

Placement Experience :

The placement starts after in starting with 4 years or 7th semester. There are lots of companies comes for placement like TCS, INFOSYS, COGNIZANT, WIPRO , IBM , etc. There is good number of placement in IT companies. The average package lies around 4.5 to 5 LPA. Amazon also coming for few students. 44 of our current 4th year students were hired by TCS R&D with 7.5 LPA package through their Digital Hiring Drive of 2020 which recruits the freshers in the domains of new technologies like AI, IoT, Data Analytics etc. 24 of our Students have been offered a Full Time role of Specialist Programmer and Systems Engineer – Specialist at Infosys with a package of 8 Lpa and 5 Lpa Respectively

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee is little bit higher than other private colleges in Kolkata. It has 70,000 per semester but in first semester it is 88700. The total cost of engineering will be 579000. There is TFW is available for West Bengal students.

Campus Life :

In IEM, There is annual fest and tech fest. There are lots of books in library regarding engineering and others. In IEM ,here is not much sports activities but we have anual sports day and athletics day. There is also football team and internal football tournament.

From 4th year students become eligible for campus placements. The different companies that are our recruiters are Accenture, Capgemini, Infosys, Cognizant, Amazon, Tata Consultancy Services etc. The highest package offered last year was 18 LPA and we have a placement rate of 89 % as of last year.

Good- Engineering College Review

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem.tcs,infosys,ctz. The highest package is 7 lakh. Avg is 4 lakh. 80 to 90 percent. Do a job in its company. This is my opinion in placement review. TPO cell is good. and give facilities to the student.

Placement Experience:

Campus Placements of students used to happen but because of the pandemic we are here giving offline placements and preparing from online classes. As far as I know, 50% of my classmates have got placed at different companies with a good package. One of the students got placed at Glassgow Scotland with a package of around 30LPA. The average percentage required to get placed in any company is like 60-70%. I am preparing for Govt job exams and also for different IT companies. All you need is hard work, self-study, and consistent effort so that you can fulfill the company's requirements.

Remarks:

The course I have opted for has one of the best faculties in this college over West Bengal. We have 2 Ieee student society in this college in which students can easily be part of and enhance their skills. The placement cell of our college is highly reputed as they always bring in the best companies for campussing. (Including core companies). We have excellent lab facilities where we can work upon our projects. From this college numerous students have participated in hackathons( including national levels) and bagged prestigious positions. We have an MHRD facilitated research lab.

Entrance Preview:

I took WBJEE, it is the state level examination conducted by the West Bengal University of Technology. I scored a rank of 14373 in that entrance exam. I opted this particular college because after getting the rank.

Every year college calls MNC companies for placements in our college campus and also send us to other college for the pool campus. The first company which comes to our college is Tata Consultancy Service who took around 100 students with a package of 3.25 LPA.
