Remarks :

The admission process is not very different from other B-schools. Firstly, a student has to give either CAT, MAT, etc. Scorecards of all these exams are accepted here. Then they shortlist from the percentile acquired by the students then they call all the students for Group discussion and Interview rounds. Then the total scores obtained by the students are calculated and a new merit list is prepared and the top 120 students are called to join the college. Application forms can be filled out either online or offline. Application form filling usually starts in January or February of every year. The admission process is overall smooth. And the whole admission process takes hardly 2-3 months.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because this course is much more updated than the other equivalent courses. This course was offering other benefits as well, for example, all the students were given iPads for studies. In the classes, they were supposed to use those iPads. The other benefit is that they take students on international educational trips. Our batch was taken to Dubai. All the expenses were already included in the fees structure. The student-faculty ratio was also good. There are a good number of well-educated and knowledgeable professors. All the faculty members were minimum post-graduates. They used lots of different methods to teach us like visual methods, showed us movies related to our course, case studies, role-plays, etc. Exams were well set by the faculty staff. Exams were always on time and we never had any problem with the organization of the exams.

Internships Opportunities :

I did my internship at a VIP company. I was in the sales department. I performed all the sales-related services at the VIP store in Pune. I was paid 5,000 rupees per month for my internship period. I was given a target to sell 50,000 rupees worth of products, out of which I achieved 70% of the target.

Placement Experience :

The placement is high almost around is 95 %. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Big companies like Deloitte, PwC, Capgemini, TCS, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, visit our campus for placements. The top role offered in our course is an area sales manager. I look forward to applying to a higher position after working for 1-2 years in my current company.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The course fees are reasonable. When I joined the college the fees for my course were 5 lakhs. I was always okay with the fees because they had given so much in return also. Their teaching methods are also always updated. International trips were also organized. Their placement has always been above 90%. I got placement from the college in Indusind Bank with 30,000 as my starting salary.

Campus Life :

There are a lot of events that happen in the college. Inter-college fest as well as Intra-college fest. There is a library available with all the latest editions for the students to read and refer to for their notes. The classrooms have A/C, a projector for presentations and video display, whiteboards, etc. The college also takes good care of its students' health. They organize physical training classes and yoga classes for the students. There are clubs for students to become a member of and utilize their talents.

Interview Experience :

The topic for my group discussion was, "Is winning important in a game?" In the interview round, I was mostly asked about the city in which I live, about my family background, and why do I want to do PGDM? I gave the answer with confidence. The admission process was like any other B-school. First, the applications were shortlisted and then the group discussion and interview rounds took place. I prepared for these rounds by writing down a brief introduction about myself on a piece of paper and saying that out loud daily. And I read the newspaper daily so that if any current affair-related topic is given in the GD round or a current affair-related question is asked in the interview round then I will be well prepared.

Other Applied Colleges

SCMHRD | MBA

I couldn't clear the interview round.

Placement Experience:

From trimester 4, students are eligible for placements. Every year, top pharmaceutical corporations pay visits to institutions. Pharmaceuticals, medical devices, market research, consulting, IT healthcare verticals, diagnostics, medical communication, nutraceuticals, and other related healthcare sectors are just a few of the industries where students might find work. Sales, marketing, business analysis, project management, client servicing and business development, international marketing, and operations are among the job profiles they pursue. Every year, the most expensive bundles change. Companies give PPOs to high-performing employees.

Placement Experience:

There is a summer internship after the first 3 trimesters where companies come for interviews and roles depend on the company that selects you. It is for 2-3 months usually and is compulsory ie a part of the curriculum to complete to qualify for the degree. Same for final placement, interviews begin after the 4th trimester is done. More than 50 companies came to campus for final placement and highest package given was 11.2 lakhs and average was 8.8 lakhs which depended on the company and the job role. Roles are offered for consulting, IT, media, manufacturing and banking and finance roles of HR Generalist, HR Business Analyst and Talent Acquisition. Companies such as Godrej, IndusInd bank, TCS, Zee, Meru, Capstone, etc were the prominent companies for the final placement. 100% placement was achieved for the HR specialization.

Students sit for their Summer placements from the 2nd Trimester onwards. NM has a trimester system. A total of 181 companies visited the campus for the Summers of 2020-22 batch. 28 of them were from Fortune 500 companies and 90 new recruits. The total number of offers made was roughly 650-700 and still counting. The highest stipend was 3 lakhs and the average stood at 1.2 lakhs. Top 50 offers clocked an average of 2.48 lakhs. The different profiles for which the companies came were IT analytics, Consulting, E-commerce, BFSI, FMCG, FMCD, Retail, Pharmaceutical, Media & Telecom, Logistics, oil, and gas, etc. NMIMS Mum has 100% placement records. After doing my MBA I plan to go back to Corporate and learn and implement at the workplace. Thereby have self-growth and also bring revenues to the company.

They do have a placement committee. Most of my classmates are already placed at top-notch brands and agencies through the placement cell. Post 9 months, we have to do a mandatory internship to get hands-on experience of the industry life and work culture.

Candidates get admission through an online form or offline as well. But would suggest for the online application. The basic documents requirement are mark sheets of x and xii ,eligibility certificate and caste certificate if required by any candidate. The course duration is of 2 years. The candidate is eligible if he/she has done bachelors with 50% marks from any recognized university. The course deals in lots of disciplines like HR, Marketing ,Finance etc the candidate can enroll according to their choices.
