Remarks :

The admission process was smooth and simple. Admission is based on NEET results and MCC counseling. One would have to apply for the NEET exam online. Qualifying criteria for the general category is 50 percentile in the NEET exam but the cut-off for JLN medical college Wardha goes around 300/720 marks. One would have to report at the college after allotment in any of the counseling rounds conducted by MCC. The nearest airport is in Nagpur, almost a 2 hours distance away. The administrators will verify your documents, check the fee receipt, fill some forms and affidavits and it's done. Hostel fee is to be paid separately in whatever form you like.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculty is experienced and the majority of the professors are good at teaching. The course curriculum is as what is specified by MCI. Regular classes. Disciplined study environment. They teach you what would be required for you to crack the NEET PG exam. I wish they would take up more research projects.

Internships Opportunities :

A year-long internship which is mandatory after 4.5 years of MBBS is available here. They have a joint hospital where we go for rounds. No stipend. OPD is quite good and bustling (as compared to barely working OPD as in other private medical colleges in rural areas.) A lot of normal cases you'll find here. But if you can, migrate for your internship period to someplace where you can get a variety of cases like in a government hospital of a highly populated city.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees structure is quite high (as what would be expected from a private medical college.) All costs included, it makes up to Rs. 1.25 crores for 5.5 years. But they make up for the high fees in form of their discipline and strictness. So at least better than other medical colleges of the same fees structure. Meritorious students can avail a Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan fellowship which waives up to 50% tuition fee. No campus jobs.

Campus Life :

I'm still in the first year so don't know about the annual fest. The library contains almost all the basic books required by MBBS students. Some weekly magazines and newspapers are also available. Classrooms are well lit with large windows and electric lights. Projectors and boards in every class. Sports are encouraged here with health club and gym and football, basketball, swimming, table tennis, and badminton court. I've heard from the seniors that a sports tournament is also conducted. Large well spread campus. Food court near the college. Boys hostel on one side and girls hostel on another side so both are far away from each other. Separate hostels for first years. Campus life is simple, study eats sleep, and repeat. More like a strict school environment. No party culture. Only a studies-oriented environment. Trees all around the campus. Giving 8/10 just because informal social life is not encouraged.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are well guarded. First years get triple sharing rooms. Not very spacious. Single bed, a table, a bookshelf (one 1 shelf, not 2-3), a wardrobe (quite small), small bathroom (barely enough space for bathing), and a very small balcony. Mess food in all hostels. 2-3 vegetables, chapati and rice, and a sweet dish are what they usually give. On Sundays, we get something like poha or idli sambar. Not very tasty food, just eatable. Warden checks upon each and every student. Registration for a hostel is made at the time of admission only. Almost Rs 2.5 lakh per year for a hostel. The hostel is a 10-minute walk from the college.

Other Applied Colleges

NC medical college, Israna | MBBS

No academic rigour at the college. It is set up in the middle of fields, no OPD. Irregular faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted always to cure people. Also, I come from rural areas where there are very less doctors. So I want to change this situation and bring health facilities to my area. My college stands ranked 3 in Mumbai,it gave us experience and a practical approach, and last year we has an internship where we could improve

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is under Competency Based Medical Education it is with competencies in each subject and it helps very well to conquer at each and every subject. The practicals are also very well taught so that you can get hands on in every type of equipment and knowledge about all the things. Medical field in itself is very hard to chase but the difficulty level is quite impresssive in our curriculum it maintains the academic level of the college and University. The timing is also well matched keeping in mind with all the holidays and preparatory time

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always was drifted towards medicine the thought of having a scalpel itself was so mesmerizing! There is one asst professor per 50 students And on the dissection table or in small groups, we have 1 teacher per 9-10 students The teachers are highly qualified some are from AFMC some from well-reputated colleges We have a lecture then practical followed by a small group discussion of that topic mostly in anatomy Exams are quite regularly held and are definitely not easy to pass! They follow the pattern of MUHS but as per info, it was more difficult than that.
