Entrance Preview :
I took the GATE exam in 2006 and got admitted in this college. It was my first choice over my previous college. There was no interview or anything like that. On admission day, they just showed me the classroom.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum was challenging and intellectually stimulating. There were four electives-Modern Pharmaceutical Analytical Techniques, Advanced Drug Delivery Systems and Industrial Pharmacy and Biopharmaceutics. The exams were tough also.
Internships Opportunities :
There is no internship for this college or course, which would have been highly desirable given the current challenging work environment. KMCH Pharmaceuticals would have been a great idea.
Placement Experience :
Good, in general. Teachers usually prefer to send you to other pharmaceutical colleges in your state due to lack of company opportunities in places like Kerala.
College Events :
Cultural fests are there and college and sports day, a good respite from studies. Held on a very large scale with all round participation from undergraduates and graduates alike.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
2 lakhs and above, 8 lakhs for out of state students very expensive although expenses can be met with difficulty. Support from scholarships or parents and benefactors necessary.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
GATE or GPAT scholarship as it is called. Difficult to qualify but worth it.You will get Rs 5000 per month reimbursement on completion of course.
Campus Life :
Campus life is slightly boring-mostly academic orientation with few parties and mingling. Still students make the most of available opportunities to socialise.
Alumni/Alumna :
Great experience with seniors who are always helpful except initially when you have not adjust with them. Still very helpful with academic work. They are really the backbone of the establishment.
Exam Structure :
Yes, usually we had very hectic practicals and day long exams. Not really chilled out-but we enjoyed the whole experience.
