Remarks :
I appeared for the SNAP exam which was held in the month of November to be eligible for the MBA program of Symbiosis. I found the application form which was valid for all colleges of Symbiosis on their website. There were some reservation benefits, but I did not qualify for any. The admission process was time-consuming but comfortable.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It was clear from the start that I wanted to pursue the MBA from one of the Symbiosis colleges in Pune. Symbiosis has an amazing brand name and also I had heard amazing reviews about the opportunities offered by the college. The faculty to student ratio was around 1:30 and the faculty here is very professional yet friendly. Exams were conducted after every 3-4 months.
Internships Opportunities :
For internships, we had companies visiting the campus in the 2nd trimester itself. Various top MNCs visited the campus offering job roles in the telecom industry. These companies also visited the campus for offering corporate projects which had a duration of 1-2 months. The average stipend was around Rs.30,000 per month.
Placement Experience :
For campus placements, we had companies visiting the campus from the 5th trimester. Various top MNCs and international companies visit the campus like Ericsson, EY, Deloitte, etc. The college guarantees placement of more than 95%. The highest package was around Rs. 25 lakh/annum.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The cost to study is around Rs. 7 lakh/annum which has now increased as the fee increases by around 35,000 every year. I got a job in Ericsson, Gurugram after completing the MBA program. The salary offered was around Rs. 14 lakh/annum. I was amongst the top performers of the batch but did not get any scholarship or financial assistance.
Campus Life :
The technical fest happens in the month of February where we have students of other colleges also participating in various events hosted by the college. No complaints regarding the book availability as we had ample books available in our library. The classrooms are also well-equipped to provide a decent learning environment. The campus also supports various sport activities like cricket, badminton and chess.
Interview Experience :
The topic of group discussion was "Startups vs MNCs" and we were given 2 minutes to gather our thoughts for the same. I faced 2 interviews, where the first one was a technical round where I was asked questions related to what I learned in college and the second round focussed more on generic questions like my personal life and challenges I faced.
