Remarks :
The eligibility of the Course is a minimum qualification with a graduation degree of 3 or 4 years. The process of admission involves CAT- a common aptitude test. A person qualifying the cut off decided by the college will be called for AWT - Aptitude written test and PI - Personal Interview. The Exam date is mostly the last Sunday of November and the exam consists of three sections Verbal Ability, Logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude. There are reservation benefits for minorities. The process is quite quick and easy.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is very Industry oriented rigorous. The faculty members are highly qualified having experience of a minimum of 10 years. Hence this helps us in getting real life experience of industries from the faculty. The student faculty ratio is about 1:2. We have course coordinators as well and in case of any emergency, we can go to them anytime. The term exams are case studies based mostly on presentations. In between the trimesters we also have real life project opportunities where we work with industries like Amazon, Deloitte etc. The end term exams are not that tough if you pay attention in the class and listen carefully to the faculties.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship opportunities are quite good and most of the companies offer PPO - Pre-placement offers on the basis of the performance of one candidate during the internship project. The project in the internship is quite oriented towards the companies real projects which are confidential. But those projects really add knowledge to one's life and help in improving skills.
Placement Experience :
In the 1st year of the programme the students are eligible for internships and in the 2nd year students are eligible to sit in final placements . IIM A offer 100% placement in which veripus organisations like Bain & co., Amazon, delloitte, TCS, Vedanta,HUL etc. come with greta opportunities with great package. The average package is around 55 lakhs . The various roles offered by companies are marketing, consulting, general management, HR etc.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The fees is quite high but every penny has its own worth. There is financial assistance at the camps and there is scholarship opportunities as well like Bayer's scholarship. The stipend which is offered in the internship is pretty good and have averaged of between 3-4lakhs/month.
Campus Life :
The campus life at IIM A is a different experience in itself. It has a very friendly campus. There is an annual fest called CHAOS which is the beauty of IIM A . there are various cells and committees which organize the event Decibel - The music club. Footloose. various other committees like TedxIIM, a sports committee adds fun to the IIM life Various other social groups like MAD- Movie all day which plans fun activities to neutralize the stress.
Interview Experience :
Yes there was AWT- aptitude written test which waaas based on different case studies and the current hot topics . After that there is a PI process in which the interview is basically profile based. If someone has work ex they will ask questions to them on that. It can be rigorous or short. It depends on person to person. These rounds are easy to prepare though time consuming. I prepared for a month from my coaching centre and some youtube videos.
