Dislikes
- The only thing NBS can improve on is it's cafeteria facility. Undoubtedly NBS serves delicious meal which is hygienic but the cafeteria is not big enough to contain the whole crowd of both it's PGDM and MBA batch of juniors and seniors simultaneously
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum of Narayana Business School gets updated every year following the the needs of market, which is the best part. Narayana Business School provides PGDM which gives the real life corporate exposure and makes the students corporate ready. NBS also gives opportunity of internship of 3 months to students so that they gain hands on experience in corporate world. The curriculum of Narayana Business School is designed in such a way that it demands office timings and makes the students ready for corporate.
Internships Opportunities :
The Narayana Business School provides wide range of opportunities in internship as well as final placements. There are many renowned companies such as Aditya Birla group, Motilal Oswal, Arvind, Renee Cosmetics, Safexpress, LG, Zomato,etc. comes to recruit interns for 3 months many of which do provide PPO's to their interns as well. Mostly the stipend ranges from 4000-8000 in maximum cases but also depends on roles and companies as some provide 15000 but some provide unpaid internships as well. The roles offered in internship are many such as digital marketing intern, branding, business analyst, business development, hr generalist and many more.
Placement Experience :
Narayana Business School provides guaranteed 100% placements to all its enrolled students. After 1st year the students of both mna and PGDM go through the internships opportunities to gain hands on experience of real corporate world. And the students get eligible for placements after their 4 th trisemester in case of PGDM and around their 3rd semester in case of MBA. The highest package of NBS goes between 15-18 lacs and the average goes from 6-8 lacs, based on the companies and positions.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Narayana Business School is a premier b-school which can definitely be considered as value to money. The 2 year fees of NBS is ?800000 which makes it ?400000 per year. The overhead fees other than the actual is of ?85000 which is deposited after the selection in college. So it makes the total expenditure of college about ?885000. This will include all the tuition fees, cautious fees, registration fees, admission fees and all other expenses incurred for academics. There is no reservation policy for other categories the fees is equal for all. And also there is no ans such scholarship policy too.
Campus Life :
I would say that my journey in Narayana Business School has been very much overwhelming as it provides so many opportunities to students to grow both personally as well as professionally. There are various clubs such as marketing club, hr club, finance, entrepreneur, data and analytics, editorial and many more clubs to polish the soft skills and technical skills of students. There is a huge library where every kind of books are available, also the facility of e-library is available at NBS. There are various celebrations done at NBS which are truly happening such as freshers, janmashtami, Ganesh utsav, navratri and other interesting events, they also include academic events organised by industry professionals. The infrastructure of NBS is truly enriching making the environment more inclusive there are various facilities such as labs which has upgraded software, wifi over across the campus, cafeteria, sports facilities such as game room, basketball court, volleyball court, amphitheatre, gym etc. So to conclude I can say the life at NBS is truly happening in both enjoyment and learning.
Admission :
I wanted a college in Ahmedabad only so when I did research I got to know about various colleges in Ahmedabad which are considered good for pursuing MBA. The colleges I researched were LJ, GLS but they were not worth spending because they do not provided 100% placement and even the average packages were very low. I also reviewed college like Shanti business school and Ahmedabad University but I even did not considered getting into them because Ahmedabad University mostly focuses on startups and I wanted to do job. And Shanti business school was new and I did not trust it because of its low transparency. But all the gaps were filled by Narayana Business School as it is the college run by academicians, which provides guaranteed 100% placements with transparency and great packages.
Faculty :
The faculties are the real assets of Narayana Business School. Each and every faculty at NBS highly educated and has enriching experience of years in industries which helps them in delivering the practical knowledge more promisingly. All the professors are very supportive and knowledge and are ready to help the students whenever they need. Every faculty is very professional and innovative when teaching and they uses various practical ways to make students understand the concepts. In PGDM there are 6 trisemesters in 2 years which makes it 3 trisem per year, so the exams held on end of every trisem that is thrice a year which are external exams, there is a concept of internal marks which consists of mcq's, assignment which are mostly practical field related, class participation etc. The question paper is mostly the application based so that the students can learn to apply their learnings into the real world cases.
Interview Experience :
The Narayana Business School follows the procedure of selection which includes the aptitude test first also called as Nbsat and if the students get selected in Nbsat then only they will be allowed in the next stage which consists of group discussion followed by personal interview. The aptitude test consists of the section including quantitative aptitude, verbal, logical reasoning, data interpretation etc. and the topic of group discussion are based on the current trends.
Night Life :
The facilities of Narayana Business School such as gym, cafeteria, library, game zone are open until 6 p.m everyday. But the open sports facilities are open till very late. Students can stay in college till whenever they want with no tension of any security as the security guards are well trained and 24*7 present there. The famous hangout spot of Narayana Business School is it's cafeteria which is very happening and really cool place to hangout with your mates.
