Remarks :
The First step for doing BE/B.tech is applying and writing the TS-Eamcet Entrance test. To qualify for the Test You need to score a minimum of 40 marks out of 120. Eligibility for the course is that you should have passed 10+2 with 45% with Maths, physics, and chemistry as main subjects. After getting a seat allotted in the preferred college submit the previous memos and respective documents that's all. You can apply for Ts-Eamcet on the official portal yourself or at a nearby meeseva center. Reservation is there for Students from minority castes. The admission process is very easy.
Course Curriculum Overview :
BE/B.Tech is a course that spans over 4 years. There are 2 semesters each year which total to 8 semesters for the whole course. I chose this course because I wanted to do something different also computers and technology are the future. Also, this course has given me a lot of knowledge in engineering. The faculty-student ratio at Nawab Shah Alam is 40:1 which is not bad. The lecturers are very friendly and have good experience and knowledge in the subject. They are mostly M.tech passed-outs. There are 2 mid-terms every semester in September and February. They are somewhat hard if not well prepared.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There are two types of fees Tuition and Other Fees. Tuition is basically fees you pay to study which is 40000 Rs per year. Whereas Other fees Include Lab, Library, and Practical which would be around 5500 Rs per year. If you want to opt to stay in the hostel I have different fees around 60000-70000 Rs per year. You can pay fees on an Installment basis. If you are from Minority Castes you can apply for TS Scholarship where the government will grant the college whole course Tuition fees on your behalf. But Other fees you have to pay from your pocket. You can apply for the scholarship on TS-EPASS and find the forms in the college.
Campus Life :
The Campus Of Nawab Shah Alam is very big and is covered with greenery. The students are very friendly and supportive. Students from many different religions are there in the college. There are two playgrounds for volleyball and cricket. Many tournaments are held in the college premises like cycling, marathon, and Kabaddi, etc. Every year a big fest happens in the college which is very enjoyable. The college library is not good there are no books available every time. The classes are not neat which needs to be improved.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel fees in our college are 70000 per year which is quite expensive than other colleges. The quality of food is very bad Chicken is served only once a week. The rooms are very old and Rusty. I think it is better to stay In rented rooms or a Private PG hostel outside the college. After 1st year I left the college hostel and stayed in the PG hostel near the college in Malakpet. My advice is to not stay in the college hostel.
