CMS college review

Remarks :

I applied for manipal University and jain University. I found these two as the best universities for my course. And Manipal has huge fee structure which I can't afford. The admission criteria for my program is 60% above in intermediate or 11th and 12th classes. The admission process in jain is pretty simple. You should fill the application form in the jain University website. The cost of application is 600rs. And the you have to write an entrance test. Then you will get a email for your personal interview round. Then you get a acknowledgement letter.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I want to get into the media industry. The faculty is so good. They are more into practicality which this course needs most. Everyone in the faculty holds a doctorate. The course consists of 6 semesters.

Internships Opportunities :

There are so many internships. Some internships provide stipend and some internships don't provide stipend. There are so many media houses and companies for internships. The projects while internships will be regarding the newspaper editorial, journals, design and many more. The course itself is mass communication and journalism. There are internships from film production houses also.

Placement Experience :

From the 5th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. There are many media houses and many companies comes for students. Our campus also Includes management students so they get highest package and offers. The percentage of students getting placement is high. My plan after getting the degree is to do post graduation.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I think there is no fees hike. There are many internships. And their campus placements. Which I will get to know deeply when I enter 2nd year. The college helps you with financial assistance by loaning.

Campus Life :

There are many clubs in our college. CMS is known for fests like melange, luminar, verve, and lot. The exposure in the college is good. Since people around India comes to CMS. And the college is located at the center of the Bengaluru city. College has many opportunities for sports like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton and manymore.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college focuses mainly only real life scenarios the theoretical knowledge comes secondary is whag they believe. Understanding the market, understanding the companies is far more important to sustain in this competitive economy. The faculty throughout the college understands this situation and thus prepares the students for the same, with many on-ground activities like industrial visits, short film making, report writing, interviewing, research papers, business planning, patent research etc. The exams are not that easy but there are not many theoretical questions that they ask so it's mostly as to what you learnt from the experiential learning. The exam lasts for 2 hours for 50 marks, and overall it isn't easy to crack but you'll enjoy learning it as it includes more of practical questions than theoretical
