Entrance Preview :

I cracked Dec-MAT 2009 and scored 92 percentile in that. I came to know about this college from a friend who was already studying there. She gave a positive feedback regarding the college, the faculty, the infrastructure & the placements which I found exactly the same, after joining the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

They design the course very well & systematically. You will be given a basic exposure of all the management subjects inspite of what ever stream you have chosen. Initially they wont just start with your normal academic subjects. Starting 2-3 months, they will only gave you behavioural trainings, on-stage presentations, other management activities by experts.

Internships Opportunities :

Yes, they provide internship for almost all the industries in India. They have separate training & placement team which worked very hard to get all the companies in-line. Companies like Infosys, HCL, Tata, Vedanta, ITC, etc are some of the best among them.

Placement Experience :

In my batch of 2012, there was total 900 students altogether out of which approx 90% were placed through campus placements only. The college has a good track record of placing it's students, over the years and their alumnus are doing great in their respective field, presently.

College Events :

Though the schedule of the college is hectic but as far as celebrating the events are concerned, they never back down from it. The college will provide you separate fund to celebrate each and every festivals for all the religions whether its Onam, Id, Dipawali, Christmas, Durga Puja or Holi. The college also conducted events like Fresher's party, Convocation, Alumni Meets, New Year Eve, Showing Cricket matches, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The Fee structure is very flexible compared to other B-Schools. It is around 3.20 Lacs per annum for the course they offered. Its a two year Full Time course. The payments are done on instalments as below Rs. 49,000 immediately within 10 days from the date of declaration of the merit list. Rs. 1,76,000 within 30 days on receipt of the admission letter. Rs.95,000 to be remitted by the month of October.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No there is no scholarship / loan facility is offered by the college. You need to get an education loan (If req.) of your own. The college will provide any specific certificates required for the same, if required.

Campus Life :

The college has a policy of intake of atleast 50% female students of the total strength of the college. Hence, the gender diversity in the college is 1:1 Male to female. The college is safe for females as the campus is highly secured and very disciplined. The college always promotes extracurricular activities like Sports, Debates, cultural activities, quiz, plays etc.

Alumni/Alumna :

They have a separate group of alumnus and all alumnus are still connected who even passed out from the first batch of the college. They occasionally organised alumni meets in the college as well as various cities. The call their alumnus for a guest lecture sometimes also to interact with their students.

Admission :

After getting 92 percentile in MAT, I applied for this college as they consider both MAT & CAT. Based on your score in MAT/CAT,10th, 12th & graduation scores, they shortlisted some students. I was among them. Then they will call you for a selection process of their own which includes Written Test, GD / Extempore & Interview. They conducted this selection process all over India.

Faculty :

One of the highlight of this college are its Faculties. The Dean himself is vastly experienced, knowledgeable & very disciplined. Similarly he chooses his faculties very precisely. All faculties know their subjects very well and know how to teach the same. They treat every students equally and teach as per their standards.

From trimester 4, students are eligible for placements. Every year, top pharmaceutical corporations pay visits to institutions. Pharmaceuticals, medical devices, market research, consulting, IT healthcare verticals, diagnostics, medical communication, nutraceuticals, and other related healthcare sectors are just a few of the industries where students might find work. Sales, marketing, business analysis, project management, client servicing and business development, international marketing, and operations are among the job profiles they pursue. Every year, the most expensive bundles change. Companies give PPOs to high-performing employees.

Placement Experience:

There is a summer internship after the first 3 trimesters where companies come for interviews and roles depend on the company that selects you. It is for 2-3 months usually and is compulsory ie a part of the curriculum to complete to qualify for the degree. Same for final placement, interviews begin after the 4th trimester is done. More than 50 companies came to campus for final placement and highest package given was 11.2 lakhs and average was 8.8 lakhs which depended on the company and the job role. Roles are offered for consulting, IT, media, manufacturing and banking and finance roles of HR Generalist, HR Business Analyst and Talent Acquisition. Companies such as Godrej, IndusInd bank, TCS, Zee, Meru, Capstone, etc were the prominent companies for the final placement. 100% placement was achieved for the HR specialization.

Students sit for their Summer placements from the 2nd Trimester onwards. NM has a trimester system. A total of 181 companies visited the campus for the Summers of 2020-22 batch. 28 of them were from Fortune 500 companies and 90 new recruits. The total number of offers made was roughly 650-700 and still counting. The highest stipend was 3 lakhs and the average stood at 1.2 lakhs. Top 50 offers clocked an average of 2.48 lakhs. The different profiles for which the companies came were IT analytics, Consulting, E-commerce, BFSI, FMCG, FMCD, Retail, Pharmaceutical, Media & Telecom, Logistics, oil, and gas, etc. NMIMS Mum has 100% placement records. After doing my MBA I plan to go back to Corporate and learn and implement at the workplace. Thereby have self-growth and also bring revenues to the company.

They do have a placement committee. Most of my classmates are already placed at top-notch brands and agencies through the placement cell. Post 9 months, we have to do a mandatory internship to get hands-on experience of the industry life and work culture.

Candidates get admission through an online form or offline as well. But would suggest for the online application. The basic documents requirement are mark sheets of x and xii ,eligibility certificate and caste certificate if required by any candidate. The course duration is of 2 years. The placement cell is very good in the college as they try and place maximum of their students in the best of the companies with good deals. 80% of the students definitely do get placed and they are quite satisfaction and happy with the job. The renowned company do come and recruit the students.
