Remarks :

I only applied for Madras University and I've opted for Distant Learning course as I am pursuing Chartered Accountancy course. I've also successfully gotten admission in this reputable university. I had not availed any Quota while getting admission in the college. The criteria was only to pass out with 55% marks in class 12, there was no Age-barrier for getting admission though. Although the admission process was pretty much hectic for a distant learning course as this is a government college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I basically chose BCom, as it's subjects are complementary to Chartered Accountancy. The faculty to students ratio is very high, not a surprise as it is a government college. I am not eligible to review the faculty as I've opted for distant learning, thus I've not attended their classes. But it must be pretty obvious that the faculty would be highly qualified as it is a reputed government college. Exams are no joke in this college, most people underestimate the exams but later regret failing them.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are a "thumbs up" as it is a public college. The fees for Distant learning for BCom were Rs.7000 per year, which according to me is pretty affordable and economic. The location is also not expensive, as it is located in Chennai, thus the day-to-day expenses also would be economical. The fees structure is overall balanced and job opportunities should not be a hindrance as well cause it is a reputed college.

Campus Life :

This college actually conducts fests often, considering the fact that it is a government college. The library is great for those who prioritize libraries, as it has a lot of books for all types of readers. The classroom amenities are straight-up "minimal". You cannot expect much from a government college in this case and also considering the fees. The campus's size is not as large I would say, So for those who are into sports and stuff, better stay away from this college There are various social groups and clubs formed within the college and has a great bunch of students with great exposure
