Pros and Cons Of studying in SAITM

Remarks :

I applied for YMCA and dronacharya college of engineering along with st Andrews institute of technology and management I didnt have any qouta The addmission criteria in my college were 12th marks and JEE Mains marks. I went to a seminar in Pragati Maidan Delhi where I got to know about my college. The process was smooth I was offered a 90% scholarship for 4 years based on my 12th marks.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose electrical engineering because I thought of government opportunities in this field. The faculty in the first was very good but later on degraded as the senior teachers paid less attention to the students. All the faculty members were either Phd or Mtech graduates. Sessional exams were mostly once a month and semester exams were in every 6 months.

Internships Opportunities :

As an electrical engineering student, I was offered an internship from college only once. But Most of my internships have been from outside sources of my own only. I have worked on various web development courses to date based on WordPress and JavaScript.

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for placements after 3rd year. Most tech companies arrived at our campus and mainly startups. The HIghest packages offered have been gone up to 9 -12 lakh and an average of 3.5lpa to be honest there are companies but the percentage of worthy candidates is very less. So around only 30-40 % get placements. I wish to get a job in the IT sector after my degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

10% increase in fees yearly. But my fees were fixed after the admission I got scholarship of 90% based on my board exam results. Hostel students had around an average of 60000 for a year ranging high up to 1lakh a year. I am in final year and I have cracked two IT companies yet. So the placement assistance is good if you are a good student.

Campus Life :

We had college freshers' parties and sports week every year as tech fests. The library offers 2 books per person for a period of 14 days and then there was a fine of Rs 10 per day for late return. The classroom has enough benches and fans ACs worked moderately. Sports week was held for a week every year where we enjoyed it a lot. There were no clubs as such here.

Placement Experience:

placements can be improved . As earlier the placements were good but I think the seats increased or doubled in the past 2-3 years by which there is a drastic decrease in placements. Now the average placement is around 3.2 LPA

There is most of the companies visit at University are multinational companies of the franchise and they get high packages at University the average package at the university is about 5 lakhs and more and the highest package goes to crores and around 95% of the students get the placements from the university and also most of the students get 4-5 options of placements from the university but that completely depends on the student.

Placement Experience:

In the 7th sem students become eligible for placements. HCL Technologies, Grivaa Capital, and Healthians visited PDM university. TCS is the most recruiting company for this course and the average package is 30k per month. There are no criteria for having a good percentage you can easily place with the help of your own skills. But my suggestion is always to keep good marks in every subject, this creates a good impression in a company. After getting the degree I will be prepared for on-campus placements.
