Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum belongs to Mumbai University and has detailed content of all the required aspects of Computer Engineering. The student: faculty ratio is pretty good. We also have mentors assigned to us, for issues related to academics and otherwise, also for counseling and guidance. All of the Faculties of XIE are holding a Masters degree, we also had a group of Teachers with Ph.D. degrees. The use of teaching aid is also quite frequent, we also are provided with question banks, University question papers, notes and reference books. There are quizzes uploaded on the College Moodle website for each Module curated according to the syllabus. There were prelims conducted before the University End Semesters so that students could be well versed with the examinations. The teachers do conduct remedial lectures for students who need assistance and the defaulters.

Internships Opportunities :

The students are provided internships as they complete their Microsoft certification. There are various internship opportunities that are available as teaching assistants at the institute. The TPO also provides various opportunities to taken up internships offered by companies.

Placement Experience :

Students are provided placement training before the Placement period. XIE also has a Virtual Placement event that's conducted right from the First Year, so that the students are well versed with the Placement process. The companies offering placements are listed on the XIE official website. Mostly all the students in XIE are placed since the TPO tries to get an offer for all the students. XIE also provides Career guidance and counseling for Masters's programs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The detailed fee structure is available on the college's official website. XIE provides the students with a lot of scholarships while they complete their degrees. The scholarships availed are by students who score better despite their low CET marks, subject toppers, and Semester toppers. XIE also helps students who are in need of financial help.

Campus Life :

The Annual fest - SPANDAN and the Technical Fest - TRANSMISSION are conducted every year. There are various committees that can be joined as per the student's interest. The fest is also an opportunity to showcase your own talents and participate in extracurricular activities. The library at XIE has access to all the books that are related to the Engineering curriculum as well as the books that are needed for Masters and magazines. The Library timings are extended until 7 pm so that students can study or use the library facilities after college as well. The classrooms are equipped with a projector, whiteboard, and blackboard facilities. The students are encouraged for their participation in extracurricular activities, they also have opportunities to participate in Inter-college competitions. There are various sports events for girls and boys as well as mixed events. The sports fest SPARX consists of Indoor and Outdoor game events and Athletics and Team Events.

Placement Experience:

Placement is not that good. Overall the average placement is only about 4,00,000 per year. And campus placement are there but it won't provide you high paying jobs you'll have to do that on your own. So focus more on personal skills

As I am in second year I don't have that much of idea about the placement but there are very good placements for the printing and intc branch in this college. There I will see near they got the very good packages for this branches and along with CS IT branches they got 40 to 50 lakh packages. Also the college provides the interview sessions and the placement training programs in that the experts come and give training to the students for placement programs. There are various students that are placed in with us countries like Japan Germany's and they are working in ITI and various professions.

I have also got nearly three placements. Currently, I am working in Accenture with a package of 6.5 lpa. I have experienced a decent placement process which was very systematic in that every or each of the students can get placed. For placements, SKNCOE is the best in Maharashtra.
