Remarks :

Our college is one of the best private engineering colleges in West Bengal. The fees structure is affordable. Faculties are good, helpful and they have deep knowledge. Seniors are helpful. College conducts so many workshops related to academics. Doubt clearing classes are also held. Research facility is there in our college. Teaching quality is excellent. Student faculty ratio is good. Mentors are alloted to each class. Online lab classes are also held. Academic pressure is there but it is a really good place to be in.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Most of the faculties are having a PhD as their highest qualifications. Others are MTech. Teaching quality is excellent in our college. Mentors are alloted to each class. Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable.

Placement Experience :

Placement is really good here. Almost all the students are placed from CSE department. CSE department is one of the best departments of our college. Capgemini, wipro, Infosys, byju, persistent, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Nagarro are some of the well known companies which recruit students through on campus jobs. Many of our seniors are placed in TCS. So placement condition is really good here. Salaries are good as per market scenario.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Total fees is 408000 for 4 years including everything. We have to pay 1200 extra for each semester examination. Several scholarships are available there. For example: swami vivekananda merit scholarship for students with 75% above marks in 12th and annual income below 250000. This is a government oriented scholarship. Most of our seniors are placed in mncs through on campus jobs. Internships are also organized.

Campus Life :

There are several fests including tech fest and annual fest. We are given books from book Bank of the college in each semester. As now everything is being conducted online so we are having lots of online activities. Cultural events, quizzes, presentations, competitions are there. College had conducted online lab classes for us in our first year. And we had the opportunity to attend offline lab classes in first sem too. College ground is large. College has a gym too. The library is really big and we can get books from there if needed. Social group "pragati" is there. Coding club, media club, cyber security clubs are there. We have NSS club. Our college website is gnit.ac.in. startup facilities are there. Student teacher communication is good.

For admission one has to clear WBJEE or JEE MAINS examination. Exam pattern is available online. Jis group organizes another entrance examination too.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
