Remarks :
Chitkara has been ranked 75 in MBA. Its a good university with good academic records, infrastructure and placement. Admission to MBA is done on the basis of score in the CAT/MAT/NMAT/XAT/CMAT followed by GD round and PI round. The college is good for MBA.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose MBA in marketing as that's my area of interest. The course curriculum provides a strong base in advertising, branding, market research, and online marketing. The faculty is of top notch and an expert in this area. They help us in visioning ourselves as future marketers.
Internships Opportunities :
I will sit for the internship next year. Many of my seniors applied for the internship and got it. One of them got to work with HDFC with stipend of 50000. Other recruiters for internship were: Mahindra, Zomato, UM Motors, JK Tyres, Hettich India, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Future Group, Aditya Birla, Atom Technologies, Franke Faber, Bluestar, Living Concepts, among others.
Placement Experience :
The placement record of the university is 90%. The top companies were Dabur, Reckit & Benchkisser, ITC, Nestle, Onicra, Colgate Palmolive, Axis Bank, Videocon, among others. The highest package offered was 32 LPA. The average package is 10 LPA. I will sit for the placement next year.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The MBA fees is not that expensive. However, the university also offers scholarship to its students. The scholarship is offered on the merit basis. Eligible ones can apply for it. The amount of scholarship varies.
Campus Life :
The university campus life is amazing. There are many events organized such as alumni meet,, cricket tournament, UDAAN, film festival, interactive session, international symposium, and many more. There is also an activity club which engages students.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel fees also includes the laundry charges. The mess charge is separate. The rooms are semi-furnished with bed, mattress, study table, chair and an almirah. The mess food is good and healthy too.
Admission :
GD and PI were conducted for final MBA selection. The level was not difficult. The questions were not deep. They were general in nature. The GD was quite competitive. There were 15 students in a group for the GD round. I was lucky to get selected.
