Remarks :

You have to register on their website for admission approval. And then submit with proper documents for admission after successful entry through counselling. The admission process is easy and does not do any hassle. You just provide proper documents and get admission. The first sem fees including admission are 85300 which is proper. And there are no extra charges for Direct admission. The college also provides good placement.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is very demanding for students in the engineering field and there are approximately 60 students in each class to which there are 2 faculty members per subject. The semester exams were difficult but worth all the semester.

Class Size : 63Course Fees : INR 108000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is no fee hike it is just what it is shown at the admission and the cost is around 4.08lacs entire 4yrs. There are scholarship and student credit card schemes available. Also, the faculty is good and it is worth the cost of actual study tenure. And for the proof, we have achieved first prize in many Smart India hackathon 2020.

Campus Life :

Each department hosts fests as per their favourable timestamps. The library is furnished with books from different authors and also provided with a digital library from IIT KGP. The classrooms are air conditioned and well lit also there are smart classrooms and auditoriums to facilitate the proper medium of instruction and knowledge. The college provides infrastructure and scholarships to students with a sports background and encourages events.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
